The strategies I would use to motivate my employees would be to inspire and help them figure out what they are most passionate about and relate things to what interests them the most. As well as making the pay a bit higher than the competition so it prevents slacking off and motivates them work to their full potential. Also being able to feel like you belong and are a part of something will motivate you to not let your fellow colleagues down. I would also create an upbeat work place because lets face it, nothing is less motivating than a bland environment.
