We discussed the in our seminar how to use the text book to critically analyze the title of the articles. You can state the title, summarize the title, or quote the title if you so desire. Please remember if you summarize, quote or paraphrase, you need to cite the author and year at the end of the referred information. For articles with more than two, you can add the “et.al” after the initial citation of all the author names.…
In Secondhand Lions, I felt that there were many important life lessons. From the start of the movie I thought that there might not be any connection between the uncles and Walter. Throughout the movie I realized that I was very wrong and that this new family had a lot to learn from each other. By the end of the story I could truly see that the everything that happened between the characters would always be with them the rest of their life. Both Walter and his uncles learned a great deal about life which all of them needed to know.…
The Chimera was a fire-breathing Greek monster that was believed to have the head and body of a lion, a goat head protruding from its back, and yet her tail was a snake. The Greek monster was the child of Typhoeus and Echidna and was known to reside in Lycia. Chimera was traditionally a female mythological character who was believed to have been the sibling of Cerberus; the three headed dog that guarded the entrance to the underworld. She was rumored to have given birth to multiple other greek monsters, such as the Sphinx and the Nemean Lion. This monster had a reputation for being associated with shipwrecks, storms, and other natural disasters. Unfortunately; or maybe fortunately for the greeks, the Chimera was killed by Bellerophon.…
The title of Liz’s article is vague and leaves wonder on what she is talking about. By the title alone I don’t know what subject she is writing about. Using a title that has a vague subject may turn away readers, as they are unsure…

African lions play a big role in the ecosystem. They are at the top of the food chain and are responsible for 85% of predation in their habitat. They prey on herbivores such as buffalo, antelope and zebras. The African lion’s biome is in the tropical grassland and their habitat is the grassy plains of the African savanna. Without the lion, the ecosystem would be unbalanced and unstable.…

The White Tiger is nearly extinct due to poachers that hunt them for their organs and fur and the cubs get eaten by predators. Experts say that the White Tiger will be extinct in 20 years. It is very rare for the White Tigers to mate and that is also another reason for rapid decrease of the White…
Terry Anderson’s view of the news media fluctuates throughout the novel, Den of Lions. When he first begins his escapades of being a war correspondent, he is almost enchanted by each new place he visits, whether that is Japan, South Africa or Beirut, Syria. Of course, he prefers some places over others but is overall gripped by each new culture he comes across through his job as a journalist. When the war began to break out in Lebanon, Terry begins to admire Robert Fisk, a correspondent for the London Times. He notices how Fisk is able to remain neutral and somehow put the pain of witnessing war away. Fisk also advocated reporting all their mistakes and wickedness equally, whether it be cruel actions from the Israelis, Lebanese, Syrians, Palestinians,…
The title not only consists of the topic that is being discussed through out the paper, but it also gives the reader a clear perspective of what information will be presented to them line by line. “Gun Ownership as a Risk Factor for Homicide in the Home” this title does not only embody what a article will be about it is an a quick look about what this paper will consist of, especially in today’s society when people are so amply for quick solutions. A title now holds power either it attracts readers or turns them off before they read the first sentence. The title consists of the research subjects in this case it would be gun owners. One of the main variables that can be seen within this article is the risk of homicide in the home specifically…
Canada has been credited by the United Nations for being the most multicultural nation for over forty five years. People have been migrating from all over the world to “the New World” due to economic struggles, wartime affairs or simply a chance for a new beginning. Various works of literature and media representations have been made to retell, relate and reflect upon the difficult journeys made by these immigrants. The novel, In the Skin of A Lion, by Canadian immigrant and author Michael Ondaatje, has been noted to be, “...the best story of the Macedonian voice in the building of Toronto’s Waterworks.” (Brouhl, 159. SIC) Ondaatje has successfully dramatized the immigrant experience that defines Canada’s multicultural history, particularly in Toronto, as seen not only through the storyline of Patrick Lewis, the heroic endeavors and traditional lifestyle by Nicholas Temelcoff, but also, through the life of Alice Gull.…
The title of the journal is quite good and appropriate but then if you first read it, you can’t easily understand what it is all about. For me it is too broad. The abstract is specific and short but lacks some information. The variables are stated but not directly. The purpose of the article is made clear in the introduction. It is constructed in a funnel – shaped way. The ideas are well emphasized and the author cited only the pertinent literature. Some section of the manuscript must be condensed because it is too long and makes it too hard to understand and not interesting…
