Since the reports are formal, the first person (singular "I" or plural "We") should not be used 8. All pages, including figure pages, should be numbered consecutively 9. Overly long sentences should be avoided. Two or more short sentences should be used instead. 10. Needlessly fancy presentation (bold, italic, or underline; color) should be avoided unless it truly enhances the clarity of the report
