Sunni Caliph In Islam

After three hundred years of Prophet’s death, the Sunni Caliph had shown up in the Islamic political arena, which was so-called Ahl- al-Sunnah Wa Jama’ah, the people of prophetic tradition and community (consensus). The Sunnis’ framework authority functions differently than the Shia, there is no designated successor to the prophet, the Quran and prophet’s sunnah provide sufficient and complete guidance to the community. The segmentations of Muhammad’s authority were labeled into two spheres: Din (religion) versus Dawla (state), which became later as the renaissance birth of the Sunni Caliph. This political segmentation emerged to labeled different caliphs throughout the history, with several titles of authority, such as Sultan, Amir, and Khalifa,
as a way to evolved themselves into political hegemony. Unlike the Sunni Ulama, a distinct Sunni authority, whose arbitraries are perceived through the knowledge of religion and theological matters. The consensus in the Sunni-Islam is a crucial tool for which it determines the legal permissibility upon ritual acts.
