Corporate Social Responsibility is a corporation's policies that necessary to evaluate and must be responsible for the company's effects on environmental and social well being. (1) It also refers to a business practice that involves participating in activities that brought advantage to society and environment.(2)

At Sunway, corporate responsibility is fully aligned with its business strategy and it is a vouchsafement that inveterate in its culture.(3) Sunway comprehends that the communities it serves must also continue to thrive to make sure the Group’s businesses can be sustainable. There are some initiatives being organized by Sunway Group and JFC. For example, JFC has cooperate with Teach For Malaysia, which is a non profit organization. (7)It is aim to recruit the most potential and expected future leader .Through this, Sunway Group had create a tour for 80 students from certain schools.(8) These students is being given some further understanding about the workplace of Sunway Group. Furthermore, it also provide a chance for individual to have a brief information on their interested career. Another example is Sunway English Language Development Programme. It is important in order to motivate young generations in Malaysia to have a fluent communication and better writing skills in English. Therefore, there are two programmes being held by Sunway group every year which are English Public Speaking Competition and English Tutorial …show more content…
For example, Let’s Take 5 campaign is being launched by Sunway Medical and its main concept is to fight against diabetes. It also aim to ensure that Malaysian concern about the high risk of diabetes and the way to prevent it. During the event, professional nurse is available giving counseling and advise to those who need information about diabetes. Besides that, Sunway group had promoting a Smoke-free Initiatives Campaign for the purpose of decreasing the amount of people smoking. Some property like Sunway University, Sunway Medical Centre and so on are smoke-free but some with appointed smoking area. It also enacted a Sunway Smoke-free Workplace Policy in order to instill the advantages of smoke-free to their workers.(9) Another example is Public Forums and Symposia that also launched by Sunway Medical Centre.
