As I have written in the Chapter 2, he says: “if a type designer has mastered the craft, understood the classic principles of type design with a creative insight into the modern age, this may be enough to produce a timeless typeface (Consuegra, 2011, p.232)”. To me, this is especially true for the Super Normal typefaces, as it is all about designing durable types to transcend style and time. Super Normal, as a fresh appreciation of timeless, refers to the invisible typefaces that are timeless, neutral and simplified. Therefore, it is logical to analyze the case studies by following Robert’s words. Needless to say, legibility, readability and aesthetics, as three classic and fundamental principles, are the first three points in my framework.
