Superhero True
Superhero True

When I was a little boy,
I never found interest in my toys,
‘Cus there you were across the street,
Looking so pretty and soundin’ so sweet,
And I knew that all I wanted to do,
Was to be a superhero just for you.

I would come to the rescue,
Save the day,
I’d always be there to push you outta harm’s way,
And when I felt weak all you’d ever have to say,
“Is I love you, my Superhero True.”

Oh, we stuck together through the years,
I held your hand through the struggles and the fears,
But inside I was feeling caged,
Feeling stressed out, and feeling my age,
It seemed like we always had a dollar too few,
And your superhero blamed it on you.

I regretted your rescue,
Rued the day,
Wished we had gone our separate ways,
Feeling sorry for myself so I didn’t here you say,
“I love you, my Superhero True.”

Oh, I started to drink,
I started those fights,
Kept the kids up all goddamned night,
But I can’t believe…

I went to a bar and got kinda’ drunk,
Ended up sleeping with some tall blonde punk,
And now I knew that I was screwed,
Cus’ your Superhero True had cheated on you.

I failed at your rescue,
Ruined your day,
Went and I shoved you into harm’s way,
And it shattered my heart when I heard you say,
“I hate you, you super evil tool.”

So I went and I prayed to god above,
I prayed for forgiveness,
And I prayed for your love.
‘Cus I felt like I would tear in two,
If I didn’t find a way to make it back to you.

I wanted to be rescued,
Needed to be saved,
Wished you would pull my outta my ways,
I knew I could live on, if you would just say,
“I forgive you, you Superhero Fool.”

And I wish before I would have known,
How terrible it feels to be alone,
‘Cus know I’m an old man at the end of my life,
Wishing I had you as my wife,
But when I wake I don’t feel so blue,
‘Cus, oh my god, there ya are, I’m sleeping next to you!

You came to my rescue,
You saved my day,
Came and you ripped my out my ways,
And when you feel lonely, I’ll be here to say,
“I’m your Superhero and I love you.
I’m you’re Superhero, and I love you True.”

“Give me liberty or give me death!” In December of 1777, George Washington decided to set up a winter camp at Valley Forge. The area was about eighteen miles northwest of Philadelphia making it a good place to stay and watch over the British troops. The men had to build huts for twelve men to live in. Sadly, the men slept on the straw and mud floors while being exposed to the cold weather. Many men would run off during war other would simply just desert the camp, unable to fight their living conditions. This raises the question: “Valley Forge: Would you have quit?” To quit would be to not really be an option for me, my loyalty to our government and country will stay at the camp. Many men were dying in this camp. Maybe from disease or simply lack of supplies the main thing is that they stayed until the end of their lives. They believed in this cause enough to never give up and had pushed through the horrid conditions as much as one possibly could. About half of the men were far too sick for battle. (Doc. A) Every soldier was needed and haven been stricken with illness made every healthy soldier a necessity. Approximately 1800 to 2500 men had lost their lives to the wide spread disease so even the smallest attempt to help fight the war was very much appreciated. (Doc. A) My loyalty and commitment to our government would also inspire me to continue on in those harsh conditions. While still living in the make shift town, the Committee of Congress had come to meet the valiant soldiers who were fighting for independence. (Doc. B) The fact that these men showed interest in their soldiers was very heart warming. Seeing as how they were being thought of as heroes instead of...…

    Is Batman A Hero

The common look of comic book characters is that the heroes are good and the villains are evil. Although the batman is portrayed as a hero many of people would see him as a villain just as the joker, even though the joker is the antagonist the joker and batman walk in the same shoes but decided to be on different sides. by this I mean the joker kills for pleasure but batman also kills for revenge which is still wrong although Batman uses this for a reason to be called a hero and continue to do so the Joker although being twisted in the mind and making choices that are downright crazy seems to show that he is not so crazy after all even if that is the way he is seen. if you look at it joker seems to have a plan on what he is doing and does it…

Are heroes born heroes or are they merely a product of the moment? Some people believe that heroes are shaped by the training they undergo while some people believe that heroes simply come about in a moment of crisis. I believe that heroes are a product of the moment by taking advantage of the moment, showing true character, and not being able to plan for chaos. Heroes that are a product of the moment know how to take advantage of that moment. For example, the text about Bob Bush talks about how Bob takes advantage of the moment by going against the promise he made to his mother by taking lives while also saving lives.…

"Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman!" (Bridwell 11) These celebrated words have echoed for over six decades in American cultural and social society. Created by Jerry Siegel and Joseph Shuster, Superman was intended to fight greed, crime, injustice and abuse. The impact created by Superman, or better known to the average man as Clark Kent, extends far beyond the comic book itself. Although many have grown to love him for the courage he represents, the personification Superman employs deviates from what is truly natural or innately human by challenging undisturbed and irrefutable conventions.…
