There is no I in team As average American individuals, we live exceptionally busy lives. Every day, it is easy to find ourselves caught up in a parade of unexpected events. Between work, school and parenting; It's not hard to become overwhelmed. Luckily, numerous companies offer services in attempt to save some time and stress. There are day care programs that look after our children, do our yard work and even clean our houses. One of the most popular services available to Americans is fast food. Super Size Me does a great job of putting into picture the daily abuse of fast food by Americans. The title Super Size Me refers to the super size option available at McDonald's. Shorty after the movie released in 2004, McDonald's discontinued the super size option. This movie reveals surprising statistics about fast food in America. In 1972, we spent 3 billion dollars on fast food annually; today we spend more than 110 billion. McDonald's feeds more than 46 million people a day, that is more than the entire population of Spain. This develops a wonderful reversal effect for the obesity crisis. Children can obtain proper nutrients through vegetables in the garden; while the work of planting and harvesting will simultaneously provide exercise. Furthermore, when you do not have time to tend to the garden; A whole community is available to pitch in efforts to grow the vegetables. Some flexible scheduling with neighbors would eliminate any chance that your garden is left unattended. With all of the convenient services this county has to offer, people have tended to become reliant. This cycle breaks when America sits down and realizes the crisis at hand. Life throws curve balls in every direction. With more people on the team, it is easier to catch and handle difficult situations.. While community gardens may not be the full resolution to our obesity crisis, it raises a strong point. As a group, ultimately more problems can be resolved. The change starts when America breaks free from individualism and joins efforts to create a better
