Government’s involvement can achieve an efficient quantity of vaccinations because it is possible for governments within the region especially in the developing countries to pull all their resources together and procure their vaccines in bulk. This will in turn be cheaper for the individual states and ensure a constant annual supply of vaccines which can be offered free to the citizens especially those at risk or sold at a price much cheaper than the private sector. This will ensure that the 95% goal of vaccination is achieved. Government can also enact laws making it mandatory for at risk clients to get vaccinated.…

The treatment cost for diseases can be incredibly expensive. The cost would drop dramatically if people were vaccinated. In 2010, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced that they would spend $10 billion to make vaccines accessible to children in poor countries. In seventy-two of the world’s poorest countries, this organization would increase the amount of six vaccines from 2011 to 2020. The increased rates of vaccinations for ten years were predicted to save, “6.4 million lives and avert 426 million cases of illness, $6.2 billion in treatment costs, and $145 billion in productivity losses” (Stack, Ozawa, etc). The Bill and Melinda Foundation helped the economy in these countries. In South and East Asia, “pneumonia vaccines averted almost 70 percent ($2.3 billion) of all treatment costs” (Stack, Ozawa, etc). So much money has been saved because vaccines are available. In conclusion to the study, 6.4 million lives were saved and 426 million cases of illness were avoided. Furthermore, 63,000 children were saved from being disabled from meningitis. The overall treatment savings was $145 billion, which is 96 percent of the total cost of illnesses. Vaccines are responsible for improving the economy in these…

As the world’s second most populous country, India “is home to one-third of the world’s unimmunized children” (Laxminarayan and Ganguly). Tragically, the majority of children living in India are unimmunized, and with a vast population, preventable diseases spread quickly. India’s government is reluctant to provide new vaccines to the public, and with the low literacy rate in India, more than ten million Indian children are left unvaccinated (Laxminarayan and Ganguly). If the Indian government does not improve the quality of education and vaccination, the child mortality rate due to lack of immunization will continue to rise.…

Under the assumptions stated above, MM argue that neither the firm paying dividends nor the shareholders receiving the dividends will be adversely affected by firms paying either too little or too much dividends. They have used the arbitrage process to show that the division of profits between dividends and retained earnings is irrelevant from the point of view of the shareholders. They have shown that given the investment opportunities, a firm will finance these either by ploughing back profits of if pays dividends, then will raise an equal amount of new share capital externally by selling new shares. The amount of dividends paid to existing shareholders will be replaced by new share capital raised externally.…
