The average length of the program is 2-3 years, with every other week sessions. The program offers peer support for children/students with participants who also have experienced death from a love one also. The kids ranging from 3-5 are grouped tighter and every other week they are offered a 75-minute session. The kids from 6-12 are divided based on who and how the person died, and each session is 90 minutes every other week. The teens ranging from 13-18 are placed together a 90-minute session every other week and the teens choose where they want the meetings held at. The center believes that if they are grouped based on maturity the process will go a lot smoother.
We all know we have and expiration date on this earth, but we have some people that’s just too dependent on their parents like the 3-5-year-old group they don’t know no better they might grow old to forget that person ever existed in they life. Steve jobs says, “death is a destination that we all share. No one has ever escaped it.” He’s say that we might not want someone to die but no one can escape death, because our expiration date is also known as our death
