Susie Salmons In Heaven
In this story, the book is being told by the protagonist. Susie Salmon was a 14-year-old who is saying her story from heaven. During the beginning of the book, everything seems happy until she tells us how she was murdered. The way this all happened was that she was on her way home from school until her neighbor had invited her to come take a look at his field but afterwards he kept asking her personal questions that started to make her scared and as soon as she wanted to leave he didn't let her go and he took advantage of her and raped her.
In heaven, Susie makes it the way that she wants to. From there she see's that the police are searching for her, they find blood and pieces of her body in the field yet the guy who murdered her is free.
Sooner or later the father of Susie starts suspecting on Mr. Harvey the guy who murdered her daughter because of the things he does. Many people around that neighborhood suspect that its another person. They blame it on Joe Ellis because of their missing pets saying he's the one who kills them.
The police soon get tired of the father always calling them and saying stuff against Mr. Harvey which then they tell them that they will stop the investigation.
A girl name Lindsey successfully gets into Harvey's place to find out about the underground hole where Susie was killed and she runs away but Harvey was able to see her. When the cops get to Harvey's place he denies anything about Susie, in fact, he says that he's been trying to help find her but the police believe what he says. As Susie watches from heaven how her family struggles through her death the murderer was never caught but Susie was able to see his death. Mr. Harvey died by falling into a ravine. Susie is done watching over the living people and decides to go somewhere better in heaven with all the good things she has always dreamed of.
