Calisthenics..Bodybuilding With Body Weight
Brian Baker
Delaware Technical Community College

Calisthenics..Bodybuilding With Bodyweight Calisthenics is very important when working out and training. When someone does body weight exercises, for one, it helps to get the proper and correct form down. Proper form is the most important thing when doing any exercise whatsoever. If an individual is in the gym and doing everything the wrong way, nothing is going to be beneficial. Doing the correct form will help someone lift more effectively and it will prevent the risk of injury or hurting/tearing any ligaments or joints. If there are two people in the gym, and one is lifting very heavy but doing it wrong because of his/her form and everything, and the other does not have so much weight but is lifting it the correct way and really contracting his/her muscles, the one doing it the right way will get the more benefit outcome. Doing calisthenics can be just as effective as weight training. If someone has the correct mind set when they enter the gym, the workout is going to be effective and worth it and he/she is really going to get the benefit of the doubt. If someone does not go into the gym with the right mind set and are not ready to go when they walk in, then most likely that person will be lazy and not work as hard and will not get the best outcome that he/she could 've had if he/she were to really work as hard as possible. Protein is a must, every single day, throughout all of your meals and supplements. Having a daily and balanced diet is also important. It can help a person to get the look that he/she wants if he/she is really working hard and is trying to reach a specific goal. An individual wants to make sure that he/she is eating right, not just because he/she is working out, but most importantly to stay healthy. Along with calisthenics being important, so is having the right mind, getting protein into your body, and

Pre-workout supplements are a newer category of products that are designed to increase workout intensity and energy. These products are being used by millions of athletes today, and there have been a lot of questions raised about the long-term effects of them. There are a lot of different brands in this industry, but most of the products contain the same main ingredients: Creatine, nitric oxide, vitamin B, and caffeine. There has been quite a bit of research done on these ingredients individually, but together they have not been studied very much, which is why a lot of athletes avoid them. Another problem with these products is that athletes are becoming dependent on them instead of using them as a supplement to an adequate diet. In this paper we will look at each of the ingredients individually and see how the different components work together.…

The time for which research will be taken from is the 1970s onwards as this is reliable in comparison to older research. There will be eight key topics that may also contain subheadings. Firstly, what actually is success in bodybuilding? ‘Bodybuilding.com’ believes “… the Mr. Olympia (Appendix 1) is the pinnacle of physical accomplishment...” With all the promotion and documentation around the competition, it’s hard to disagree. This project will focus on the professional (pro) aspect of bodybuilding and what creates an IFBB (Appendix 2) bodybuilder. Female bodybuilding has risen in popularity, but due to a lack of research and the small size of this project, only male competitors will be addressed. The purpose of this project is to provide readers with the details on what they can do to become a successful bodybuilder. Due to personal interest in the sport the hope is to expand personal knowledge and to share this. My opinion on the research is distinguished in the text; it is presented in italics so it stands out. Readers should be open-minded and draw their own conclusions, as bodybuilding is subjective and there are many debates, it is up to individuals to understand themselves.…

Belonging is significant to everyone because it makes us who we are and it gives a certain connection towards places and people. In the two poems ‘Migrant Hostel’ and ‘St Patrick’s College’ by Peter Skrzynecki not belonging is explored which leads to the individual not expanding or deepening their understanding of themselves and the world. In the short film ‘Missing Her’ by Michael Weisler, the individual starts with themselves not belonging and by the end, they begin to find a sense of belonging which develops their understanding of themselves and their world.…
