Jennie, finished wid her multi dollar deal conference is watching a playful college couple passing by.She watches the tree under which she has a treasure of memories with the then Raj's childish shy proposal echoing her ears. How will she ever forget her first beer? She was already 18 & Raj took her to that secret bar to celebrate her winning in the inter-collegiate debate. How she hated that wierd first sip.And she still cherishes that pretty black prom dress he gave it to her. They were the happiest companions anyone ever imagined. Life just gets bigger after college & so do the distance, she thinks.A couple of misunderstands, & there you have it..!

This is Vanesha Winningham, owner and CEO of Pollcypian Insurance Services. I’m sure you are aware of the many years this company has been contracted to clean for our company. Your company has gotten great reviews from us in the past, but within the last year your service has been far from the usual. When I come in each morning, offices are not cleaned thoroughly; there are many of your chemicals left in some of our busiest hallways, and several other messes throughout my business. I have contacted you several times upon the matter and although you assure me the job will be done correct next time, your company still keeps falling up short. The final straw was on last Friday when your night cleaning shift left our office unlocked. From midnight to 8 AM my facility was susceptible to break-ins, which at this point, I cannot risk happen.…

    1. Updike arranges details artfully in order to set the story in a perfectly ordinary supermarket. His description of the appearance of the supermarket itself offers a vivid image. Updike talks about a girl in a bathing suit “in the cool of the A & P, under the fluorescent lights, against all those stacked packages, with her feet padding along naked over our checkerboard green-and-cream rubber-tile floor” (14). This offers the perfect description of a modern supermarket. The way in which Updike describes the three girls walking down the aisles adds to the supermarket image. Updike explains, “The fat one with the tan sort of fumbled with the cookies, but on second thought she put the packages back. The sheep pushing their carts down the aisle” (14). The author adds to the illustration with a description of this consumer, whose approach and actions reflect those of any supermarket customer.…

Jonathan Edwards is one of the most dominant figures in 18th century American religion, a fiery revivalist preacher and a pioneer in the Reformed Church, which would eventually be today's United Church of Christ. The fifth child of Rev. Timothy and Esther Edwards, Jonathan was the only boy in their family of 11 children. He was born in 1703 in East Windsor, Connecticut. Edwards' smartness was noticeable from an early age. He went to Yale before he was 13 years old and graduated as the valedictorian. Three years later he received his master's degree. At the age of 23, Jonathan Edwards succeeded his grandfather, Solomon Stoddard, as pastor of the church in Northampton, Massachusetts. It was the richest and most influential church in the colony, outside of Boston. Jonathan Edwards married Sarah Pierpoint in 1727. They had three sons and eight daughters. Edwards was a key figure in the Great Awakening, a period of religious passion in the middle of the 18th century. Not only did this movement bring people to the Christian faith, but it also influenced the fathers of the Constitution, who guaranteed freedom of religion in the United States.…

To be in a long distant relationship is no easy task. Many couples face a tough decision when it comes time to leave for college. Stay together or end the relationship as it is? My boyfriend and I did not even second-guess our choice to remain together; however, since we left for school our relationship has become significantly more difficult. We made the decision to stay together without knowing what was going to happen or where we might end up. As scary as that seemed, we still took the risk because the distance did not seem like something to end a relationship over. Throughout the past three months away at school, we have come to find that being apart causes more stress in our relationship simply because emotions have peaked and it becomes difficult to control them. The more important thing that we discovered through this separation is that the distance has made us stronger as individuals as well as a couple, and the time we were able to spend together became much more cherished. Long distant relationships are unsurprisingly challenging and emotionally straining but are certainly worth the time and effort. A long distance relationship provides an experience allowing one to grow as an individual, strengthen the bond between the couple, and teach important relationship skills to the ones involved.…

    1. I can think of situations where I have been persuaded to go to certain parties by my friends. I am not one to always be involved in the nightlife here at Millersville but my friends are. In some cases they will take no as an answer if I am studying, tired or have prior plans. In other situations if I just say no without having a specific reason they will convince me to go. They are usually able to convince me in those situations because I have no excuse. The persuaders, who are my friends focuses on my actions and I know this because going to a party involved several different actions. I have to get out of my bed, then shower, then get dressed and finally go to the party. As a result of having to do those things, the persuader was focused primarily on my actions.…

Do you ask yourself why sometimes? Why do we fall for those who cant catch us, and ignore those who love us. Why do we cry over those who only mean to cause us pain, and waste our time on someone who is just trying to bring us down. We cannot force ourselves to love, just as we cannot force another to love us. We can only be someone who is capable of being loved. Who you need to be with isn't always the hottest person or the the one that everyone would die to be with. Maybe sometimes the people that we are really meant to be with are the ones that make us smile. The ones that we can share awkward silences with. Maybe we are supposed to be with the one who is so wrong for us that it makes it right. Someone who makes us see them for who they really are. I think that we need to accept that our ideal partner may not be what we expected and that maybe, just maybe he or she's a little bit more. The truth is painful. Deep down, nobody wants to hear it, especially when it hits close to home. Sometimes we tell the truth because the truth is all we have left to give. Sometimes we tell the truth because we need to say it out loud to hear it for ourselves. And sometimes, we tell the truth because we just can't help ourselves. We tell them, because we owe them at least that much.…
