In the 1800s, Victorian morals started through bathing suit. Victorians had their own way of the pattern for men and women. Early Victorian women had to worn serge or dark flannel bathing dresses. The swimwear bodice top was like a jacket and the swimsuit bottom part three-quarter trousers. But this had been rejected in the earlier decade when Amelia Bloomer urged women to adopt them. Then later years Victorian swimsuit was still cumbersome but were more practical and more attractive than earlier bathing suits. It was the time of the late Victorians era. People have always gone to swimming nude or in any clothing that is appropriate for swimming such as loincloths. Roman murals show that women played or exercised in two-piece suits which covered the breasts and the hips which were a similar modern-day bikini. But, there is no evidence that shown that they wore two-pieces. But there are pictures shown that they were nude on the beach. Everyone before the 18th century was allowed to be nude when they go to the swimming. In the 18th century, the swimsuits were invented. The most purpose of the bathing suit was to hide the human body according to the honesty concerning the times. Then the fashion-led its role in an ordinary dress and the outfits were very modest, it almost covered the whole body. Women never even wanted men to see none of their privacy. They were assisted into the sea from a bathing suit. But then the athletics in the 1920’s changes the outfit to more showing of the body than ever before to tanks suits. The liberated long skirts, that hugging wool jersey sleeveless tank suit. Later the same century this outfit changed in 1928. The athletic bathing suit started to look very similar to men's costumes in the earlier era. The swimsuit legs stopped at an unflattering point of the thigh and beneath the swimsuit, legs were built-in modesty shorts.
