INTRODUCTION
I have been using digital camera since I was in high school but I did not really question about how cameras were being developed nor how did it evolve. Since I studied about hardware especially the topic on digital cameras in Business Technology Information 061, I feel interested to find out more information about digital camera. I feel thankful to be given this opportunity to widen my knowledge about digital camera through this project.
HISTORY OF DIGITAL CAMERADigital camera is a part of technology that recording images. In the year of 1951, the first video tape recorder captured live images by converting the images into digital or electrical impulses and saved the images onto magnetic tape. VTR technology was commonly used by the television industry in 1956.
Computer technology was also advancing during year 1960s and NASA used digital camera for mapping the surface of the moon. They used digital signals with space probes and sending the digital images of moon’s surface back to earth. And then, NASA used computers to improve the quality of the received images.
Other than that, a number of solid-state image sensors that converting light to digital pictures was invented by Kodak in 1970s. Kodak also invented world’s first megapixel sensor which capable of producing 5x7 inch digital photos quality in
