INTRODUCTION
I have been using digital camera since I was in high school but I did not really question about how cameras were being developed nor how did it evolve. Since I studied about hardware especially the topic on digital cameras in Business Technology Information 061, I feel interested to find out more information about digital camera. I feel thankful to be given this opportunity to widen my knowledge about digital camera through this project.
HISTORY OF DIGITAL CAMERADigital camera is a part of technology that recording images. In the year of 1951, the first video tape recorder captured live images by converting the images into digital or electrical impulses and saved the images onto magnetic tape. VTR technology was commonly used by the television industry in 1956.
Computer technology was also advancing during year 1960s and NASA used digital camera for mapping the surface of the moon. They used digital signals with space probes and sending the digital images of moon’s surface back to earth. And then, NASA used computers to improve the quality of the received images.
Other than that, a number of solid-state image sensors that converting light to digital pictures was invented by Kodak in 1970s. Kodak also invented world’s first megapixel sensor which capable of producing 5x7 inch digital photos quality in

The first true pioneers were the Lumiére bro’s the sons of a famous portrait painter Antoine Lumiére from the 1800s. Their father then opened a company which produced photographic equipment with his sons as his employees. While working the two brothers then discovered the ‘Dry plate’ process of photography in 1881 at the young age of 17. This in turn boosted their father’s company massively and by 1894 they were producing around 15 million plates a year for the company. Due to this popularity Antoine was invited to a demonstration of Edison’s Peephole Kinescope in Paris. A kinescope is a device that allowed people to view pictures on a moving speal to give the illusion that it is moving similar flip books that people use to make animation. Antoine then brought some Kinescope film for his sons, and told them to reproduce this into something great, as producers wanted to make films in France. The brothers than began development of the kinescope in the winter, 1894. However after many months of trying to replicate the device the brothers realised There was too many issues with Edison’ Kinescope that had to be solved for example the camera being too bulky and heavy and the fact that it could only be viewed by one person at a time. So In early 1895 the brothers invented their own device for filming called a Cinématographe which was a combination of a camera, printer and a projector;. It was smaller than Edison’s first initial design as it was lightweight, made less noise and was operated by a hand crank. Due to this massive advancement in…

Photography, however, did not really begin until 1839 when the world heard about something startling. Louis Daguerre had invented a way to permanently reproduce a fleeting image on a metal plate. It took 30 minutes to expose, not eight hours. The advent of this technology resulted in a new language that everyone understood. The language was photography, through which we could recall a moment frozen in time and could share it with others.…

Thanks to Steven Sasson, people have been using the digital camera since 1975. Steven Sasson had a life full of cameras even before he worked for Kodak. Although not many people recognize him as the digital camera inventor, he did invent it for work and for curiosity. Creating the digital camera was hard work and many things that made photography easier occurred after he invented the digital camera. More people should recognize him because his invention, the digital camera, was very impactful to photography.…

A very good afternoon to my dear lecturer and all my fellow classmates. my passion is to present about Polaroid cameras/ instant cameras. Polaroid camera has been around for ages and of the earliest model can date back as old as 1923. Polaroid Cameras today comes in many designs, and colors. All are designed to suite a variety of taste. Furthermore, the capabilities and benefits of an instant camera/ Polaroid camera have been seriously undermined. At the conclusion of our meeting on May 12, the committee requested I as a marketing supervisor to search the market and make a recommendation for DSLR camera. For the better future for our company, The Wedding Shop, we should get the better performance DSLR camera for our customer to done a better job. A DSLR has advantages over compact digital cameras. No compact camera to date can match the high ISO performance of a DSLR, particularly useful when taking photos in low light or when high shutter speeds are desired. Some Fuji Film compact cameras with a Super CCD, such as the F20, perform well at high ISO. But they simply can't match the ISO quality of a DSLR. A DSLR also gives you more control over depth-of-field. However, it can be tricky selecting the right aperture on a particular lens to obtain the desired depth-of-field. Following an extensive preliminary study, I have listed those which best meet for our specification of sensitivity ,shutter speed, focus system ,sensor , weight , prince and warranty for DSLR. Three units of DSLR camera - Nikon D7000, Cannon 5D Mark 2 and Sony A850 – are the models to be considered.…

Digital Cameras Digital cameras allow computer users to take pictures and store the photographed images digitally instead of on traditional film. With some digital cameras, a user downloads the stored pictures from the digital camera to a computer using special software included with the camera. With others, the camera stores the pictures directly on a floppy disk or on a PC Card. A user then copies the pictures to a computer by inserting the floppy disk into the disk drive or the PC Card into a PC Card slot (Chambers and Norton 134). Once stored on a computer, the pictures can be edited with photo-editing software, printed, faxed, sent via electronic mail, included in another document, or posted to a Web site for everyone to see.…
