Course Overview
Welcome to Introduction to Criminal Justice (CJAD 101), online! Material in this course is presented from a legal criminological, historical and social systems perspective so that the student will develop an understanding of the derivation and mechanical operation of each phase of a criminal case, the personnel involved, and the justice process from investigation to arrest, through court motions and procedures, to trial, appeal and on to punishment or other alternatives to sentencing.
