COURSE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES:
This course provides an overview of the field of management. We will cover a wide variety of topics, and students should leave the course with a basic familiarity of all key areas of management. Management 309 is a survey of the field of management for all non-business majors. The course objectives include the following: to provide a general overview of the field of management; to introduce students to the major activities and functions of management; and to illustrate for students the generic nature of management regarding other business functions.

Students are expected to attend class, and to stay current with the text. I will not be taking roll, however, I believe that attending class will give you a better understanding of the material, therefore improve your course grade and your retention of the material.
