Where Would You Visit?
If I could visit anywhere in the world with my family, I would go to this third world country named the Philippines. It's a place I would visit because it's my home, everything is pretty cheap there, and the food is sarap. Philippines may be a third world country, but it has a lot to offer you. These are just a few reasons why I chose this place to visit.
To start with, it's my home. Although I wasn't born there, my heart is attached to Philippine soil. Almost all my family members live there. It gets lonely on Guam since it's just me, my parents, and brother. I love it when we're all reunited because we make one big happy family. I originated from there. I was born on Guam, but both my parents are full Filipino which makes me one too.
Also, everything is pretty cheap. One dollar is about 43 pesos. You could buy about 7 bottles of soda with just a dollar/43 pesos! When you need to buy groceries, make sure to visit the palengke. If you're good at talking, you could possibly get a good bargain with whatever you are buying. A trick to get everything at a reasonable price is to not act like a tourist. If you don't want to get ripped-off, make sure to dress like the locals, talk fluent Tagalog, and do not speak English.
Third, the food is sarap. Almost all the fruits, vegetables, and meat are fresh. I believe most meat are GMO free. Most crops are also grown locally. Be daring and try street food. My favorite is fish balls with sweet and spicy chili sauce. Filipino food is my favorite type of cuisine. I will never get tired of it.
In conclusion, if I could visit anywhere in the world with my family, I would go to the Philippines because it's my home, everything is pretty cheap there, and the food is sarap. Throughout my whole life, I visited the Philippines about 5 times. I think I will never get tired of this place.
