Taking Care of the Environment
Taking care to protect the environment against damage

Each and every living organism has specific surroundings or medium with which is continuously interacts, and to which it is fully adapted. This surrounding is the ‘natural environment’. The word ‘natural environment’ brings to mind broad aspects of landscape, such as soil, water, desert or mountains which can be more exactly described in terms of physical influences such as differences in moisture, temperature, texture of soil, and biological influences. Thus, environment is the sum total of living and non-living components; influences and events surrounding and organism. Concern for the environment has vastly increased over the past fifty years or so, and particularly so in the past ten years, undoubtedly a reaction to constant media attention focused on climate change. Environmental pollution is the biggest menace to the human race on this planet today. It means adding impurity to environment. If we pollute them (earth, water & air), then the existence of man and nature will be hampered. It is very difficult for the humans to accept any change from the environment they are born and live in. The man-made creation of Environment has been given a lot of prominence these days. The primary reasons for issues like Global warming Land degradation pollution etc. are due to the great dangers faced by everyone as a result of the negligence. But luckily, through the thick haze of filth we cover our Earth with, hope filters in. The same science that is causing the devastation of our world is also coming up with cures. Fuel-efficient cars come out every year, like hybrids. Species are studied and bred in zoos. Recycling has become part of our everyday life. Planting trees and other environmental programs are also formed by the government to answer the crisis of the milieu. However, despite the enormous efforts people are putting into preserving the environment, these still are not enough. There are just too

I agree with David Suzuki about how all humans are unique and have different abilities to change the environment. However, humans tend to forget those abilities and neglect global sustainability. Some of the reasons why humans fail to contribute with global sustainability are burning fossil fuels, putting industrial wastes into the oceans, and etc. By practicing sustainable agriculture and fish, we can make the environment better.…

As the global population expanded at an unprecedented rate, humans fundamentally changed their relationship with the environment. Human’s population growth changed their relationship with the environment for the worse and did not change until environmental issues were realized and people realized they needed to do something to stop more environmental damage to the earth. Humans exploited and competed over the earth’s finite resources more intensely than ever before inhuman history. Also, global warming was a major consequence of the release of greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the atmosphere. However, in the 1970s governments took initiatives to preserve and protect the environment.…

The atmosphere is choking from excessive amounts of carbon dioxide. Greenhouse gases are melting polar icecaps and rising sea levels. Deforestation is diminishing our chances of ever discovering new species in forests and destroying the carbon cycle. Humans do in fact have the capability of changing the basic chemistry of this massive planet. Scientific evidence shows that we have already contributed to irreversible climate change. Humankind has an obligation to reconcile its difference with the environment and learn to conserve natural resources. Conservation begins with knowledge, which leads to action, which will save our…

Nowadays, recycling, ecology, environmental protection ... are a part of everyday citizens, businesses, politicians; an awareness that has allowed the development of an economic sector and the creation of new jobs. The global warming has increased our awareness towards the planet and its future. In more and more countries, new regulations have been introduced by the government to reduce the amount of pollution. (Ross Gittins 2012) The industrial revolution of our century has put in danger our living resources, nature, and thus potentially putting at risk our own future lifestyle.…

Back in the 1900s, the environment was not thought of as a big issue. Between 1960 and 1962, several major environmental events occurred and changed the mind of many. These environmental events consist of oil spills and publicized threats of extinction of many species. The environment then became a very popular subject. Many people began to understand the importance of what the environment does for them to be able to survive. Today, taking care of the environments problems are serious. The environment was ranked among the most important social and political issues throughout the world by the people through public polls. Now, there are many organizations for taking care of the environment such as recycling, using solar powered panels instead of electricity and gas, and using plastic instead of paper, to save the trees; which are valuable assets needed for oxygen.…

First, we have global warming, which is a problem that must be solved as soon as possible. Some ignorant people think that it won’t happen but we are actually living this situation right now, every single day. According to some NASA studies, since 1950, the average temperature has climbed 1.4Fahrenheit degrees around the world. As a consequence of this fact, an Arctic ice area, which was bigger than the United States, has melted this year! Another evidence of global warning is that the frequency and number of hurricanes and earthquakes around the world has increased the last years. The irony of all this is that even though we do realize what is happening; even though we know that we are destroying our planet, we are still polluting, wasting and damaging.…

In life we experience many things. Most of the things we experience we experience them as children. We see things for the first time that we have obviously never seen before. We see things that bring us joy, sadness, anger, and excitement, a variety of emotions. We might see things that should not be seen, things that we cannot take back and we might also see good things. As children it is a given that we shall see with two eyes. Imagine living in this world with one eye or even worse being blind. How would you feel only being able to see with one eye or not being able to see at all, in this poem “From the Diary of an Almost-Four-Year-Old” this little girl experiences just that.…

As humans we have 2 choices for our future. (Adams, 2010). The first is to take responsibility for what we have done. And the second is to do just like we are now because it will not happen to us. I say we choose option 1. It will take some work and it will not be easy but there are four things we can do. First, we can make small changes to help stabilize our environment. This would be choosing to use less gas, use less water and helping to keep forests for animals. Second, we can help to ensure future generations are not left to make drastic decisions when we can make small changes now that will help reduce…

We are supposed to take care of this planet, but are we doing so? We are not doing much. The little effort put into recycling or other small things is not enough. We must make severe changes, especially with all the gas consumption for cars or all the fuel smokes from industries that affect our environment. This must stop now! The rate of global warming is increasing rapidly and we must slow it down before it is too late. We must take action now and save our world.…

Our environment faces many problems today, and as we advance into the 21st century the problems that we face become more and more evident. Inflation on luxuries that we house today like gasoline and electricity have increased dramatically over the past half century. Other problems faced such as population and hunger, not only in 3rd world countries, but right here in the United States as well, have struck hard as the population of people have increased so greatly that our world cannot control the lower class people of the world. As the population increases, the need for land has increased as well, clearly if there is more people on the earth more land will definitely be consumed.…
