Taste the Rainbow
On a typical I-can’t-wait-for-this-day-to-end Friday morning, we were asked as a group by our prof to describe something that he will provide and by some luck, we got Skittles! And yes, I personally love sweets especially candies and white chocolates. I mean, who would not want to taste those brightly colored pack of sugars, right?

Once you open a pack of Skittles, you will automatically smell the sweet aroma of the candies. And what I liked about these small and circular candies is its blend of sweetness and sourness. You can taste Strawberry, Lemon, Lime, Grape and Orange depending on the color of the candy you will choose to savor your mouth with.

The candies’ hard and smooth exterior and chewy interior will make not just the kids addicted to it but also teenagers and adults as well. People from different age groups will really get hooked on how each candy slowly melts in your mouth. I was also fascinated by the colors of each candy, which are namely red, yellow, green, purple and orange. Well, it is not really the complete colors of the rainbow but at least it is somehow near to it.

The only thing I hate about candies especially Skittles is that if you eat too much of it, your throat will start hurting in a while. So if you are going to eat anything that is sweet, make sure that you drink plenty of water after eating. But over-all, Skittles will definitely leave your taste buds screaming for more of its

Discuss safety and the sweetener that you have selected. When pure, sucrose has an energy content of 3.94 kilocalories per gram, which helps give someone that instant “jolt of energy” they are looking for. This becomes unsafe when consumed in large amounts and when looking at it from a health standpoint, should not be used for that jolt. When using Sucrose in moderation, or small doses, it does not pose as may risk factors as it does when over consumed. Also, please note that there really is not any nutritional value in Sucrose itself. Typically, sucrose is spoken of as table sugar. The most common health risk of Sucrose would be linked to tooth decay and other dental issues. Other health issues linked to a diet with an over-abundance of sucrose would be hypoglycemia or diabetes mellitus.…

We are all familiar with Skittles. Miniscule, yet delicious, most of us would like nothing more than to pop a couple Skittles into our mouths. Remarkably, Skittles and Tootsie Pops are largely alike. Both candies use the same ingredients. They share a handful of ingredients. This includes corn syrup, sugar, citric acid, as well as artificial and natural flavors. Skittles also have a hard, sugary shell that surrounds that soft, inner component of the Skittle. Additionally, Skittles has flavors identical to Tootsie Pops. Grape, orange, and blue raspberry are these flavors. This is akin to a Tootsie Pop. Tootsie Pops have an inner layer. Notwithstanding, the two tasty treats have their differences. Skittles are not suckers, while Tootsie Pops are.…

When the first Tootsie Roll Pop commercial debuted, many men, women, and children have asked, “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?” A Tootsie Roll Pop is similar to a sucker, but the difference is the middle. Inside, you will find a chewy chocolate center. There have been other experiments to determine the number of licks, but every other experiment seems to have different results. I have yet to find a credible study where every factor is at play. I will not be conducting this experiment with other participants, but with yours truly. My hypothesis for this experiment is that the number of licks is not different from each individual flavor.…
