Subject: Tattoo & Piercing Policy
This is to inform you that the following Workplace Dress Codes are being enforced. We recommend that you look at the dress code in the workplace reasons and rights as an employer. This workplace dress code goes in to effect immediately.

When setting a dress code for employees it is important to assess what you want to gain from the appearance of your employees, as mentioned above it could be as simple as health and safety legislation requires employees to wear a certain attire, or not wear certain items because of the impact on their role, for example, a factory worker operating machinery may not be able to wear jewelry or loose clothing just in case it could be caught in the machinery. Tattoos and body piercings may be considered within your dress code policy as an employer may request an employee covers their tattoos while at work or removes any piercings if they feel this goes against their company image, or if piercings could cause a potential health and safety issue.
