The subsequent lesson will focus on the Boston Tea Party.
PROCEDURES AND TIMELINE:
Introduction:
TTW pass out the materials and go over the directions.
Directions: You have received two packs of smarties. The Queen (Mrs. White) will read off a new law. If the law applies to you, you must pay up. The Tax collectors (Ryan and Lauren H.) will come and collect your smarties. Parliament (Mrs. W) will receive 2 smarties and the Tax collectors will collect 1 smartie for every law passed.
Procedures & Times:
The Queen will read off the laws and the tax collector will pick up the tax from each colonist.
If you have on white socks, you are taxed one smartie.
If you have on any clothing with the color blue, you are taxed three smarties.
If you wear glasses you are taxed one smartie.
If you have hair is shorter than your shoulder you are taxed three smarties.
If you have braces, you are taxed one smartie.
If you have blonde hair you are taxed two smarties.
If you have on shoes without laces, you are taxed three
