Everyone has a choice what they do with it is up to them. Sharon G. Flake wrote the book You Don’t Even Know Me which is a very intense and emotional book. This book speaks of topics one would not hear regularly. Many parents and the reader wonder why would they let a teenager read this book. She wrote this for young adults because she probably experienced this or saw many of her friends go through these kinds of problems. According to research by State Farm, every twenty-eight seconds a youth drops out of school. Many of them get jobs to survive, and many live at their parents until they can live on their own. As you may know, almost fifty percent of the kids who drop out of school end up either in a gang or in jail, and/or even homeless. The book also deals with teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.…

    Just Kids by Patti Smith

Patti Smith calls the book, Just Kids, a memoir rather than an autobiography. Her book is almost poetic in nature and written in a beautiful and engaging way. From the first pages, the reader is drawn to her words and imagery. In describing one of her first memories, that of a swan on a pond, she says, “the river emptied into a wide lagoon and I saw upon its surface a singular miracle. A long curving neck rose from a dress of white plumage.” There are, of course many facts about her life as a young, starving artist but generally speaking she is giving the reader many impressions about her life rather than a chronology of the events in her life.…

The book Dreamland, by author Sarah Dessen, is not exactly what the title seems to be. The first thing I thought of when hearing the title was a girl lost in a dream finding people and magic and waking up into reality. You may or may not have had the same thoughts as I had but let me tell you one thing: that is not it at all. Instead it is a book about a girl, Caitlin, trying to escape her old self and find her new self with her new boyfriend, Rogerson. This perfect relationship soon goes wrong when Rogerson begins to abuse her; which leads to Caitlin falling out of dreamland and into a nightmare. Caitlin realizes that “being with Rogerson is more of a problem than being without him” (Goodreads Author).…

A: Okay so what I thought was he goes into this description and there Is no mention of time, cause I went back and reread and this whole thing is about the moment and he is describing everything in such detail. And it end with, “Curled about the house, and fell asleep.” Which can be him and whoever he is with falling asleep then it transitions into “And indeed there will be time.” And it kind of just talks about how the world will move forward and what you don’t like about time happens.
