3.5 Describe the principles and boundaries of confidentiality, and when to share information
Confidentiality is important in schools but in a situation whereby sensitive information about a child has been passed on so as to help out in carrying out of roles effectively, the information should never be a topic of discussion with anybody.
When personal information are passed on by parent, they must be informed that such information must be cascaded to the manager or designated person, especially if a child is at risk of harm or abuse.
