Teaching Without Technology
Learning has been described in several ways by many psychologists, theorists, educators and linguists. As Shuell (as inter¬preted by Schunk, 1991) states: “Learning is an enduring change in behavior, or in the capacity to behave in a given fashion, which results from practice or other forms of experience”. Thus, definitions of learning had been shaped and numerous theories, approaches etc started floating. Behaviorist, Cognitivist and Constructivist approaches are some of them, for example. And, I think, the main point that these approaches emphasize is learning processes that is ‘how learning internalized’ in miscellaneous ways by various individuals. That is to say, behaviorists, cognitivists and constructivists keep heading to the same target …show more content…
Learning hardly takes place without teaching. Also, it is impossible to imagine teaching without technology especially in 21st century onwards. Along with technological development the way of teaching and learning is being changed. Because, people especially youth remained bond to technological devices such as smart phones, tablet PCs, laptops etc. Being exposed to these circumstances, educators went for hunting another way(s) of instilling knowledge to the learners. Since interactive technological devices invented they also faced up with some complications in order to transcribe them into teaching and learning. It means, old generation tutors remained foreigner towards new educational technologies. By the way, I think, technological devices in education should not be assumed more than useful schooling facilitators. Because, as my teacher said “even the great technology user might get failed in teaching since he remains attached to it while teaching. You always have to keep plan B, C and D in your pocket.” Blackout is a good example for this situation. Alias technology became a part of our lives as well as in others fields like business, education, trade, science etc. Therefore, it should not be put aside or ignored while teaching and learning. Moreover, technology shortened the distance between the learner and teacher and accelerated the transfer of knowledge as well. To sum up, as teachers we should follow the trend in education, be aware of technological innovations and theories which would further illustrate our way in

    The process of learning focuses on what occurs when learning takes place some explanations of what occurs are considered to be learning theories, these try to describe how people and animals learn, which in return allow us to understand the process of learning. There are three categories in which learning theories fall under: behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism. Behaviorism concentrates on the observable conditions of learning.     Definitions of learning vary drastically. This is primarily due to the differing conceptions of what learning actually is. Saljo (1979) identified five categories of learning. It is suggested that the five categories: “…increase in knowledge; memorising information; Acquiring facts, skills, and methods; making sense or abstracting meaning; interpreting and understanding reality in a different way" (Saljo, 1979), conceptualise learning as process.     Learning has many definitions. Learning is the process of knowledge through education, observation, teaching, and past and present experiences for individuals (humans or animals).
