Planning:
What is a Pop Bottle Rocket?
A pop bottle rocket uses a 2L pop bottle, which then, you fill up the 2L pop bottle with water, and then with air, air pressure is created, and when you launch it Newton’s law happens. A lot of people put designs on their rockets, such as mine I did not leave it plain, I added cardboard, fins, color, nose etc. To make the rocket fly high and far away, you have to understand on how to make your rocket aerodynamic. Below this is an example on how a water rocket can be launched.

Observations from prototypes:
(Prototype rockets are much smaller and use 500ml pop bottles)
I tried to make my prototype rocket have a pointy nose, just because it can be aerodynamic, pointy nose rockets fly great, it’s just after the rocket has crashed nose down, it will fail to protect the egg because the landing will be harsh and we are supposed to protect the egg on the actual rocket. After, I put 1 or 2 small rocks into the nose cone before gluing it on because then it will have a high center of mass which will make it actually fly like a rocket. I never flew my rocket because I was away on the day we did, and I did not make any fins as I was away for the previous days as well.

The Construction Process for the Rocket:

Materials

· 2L empty plastic bottle
· Cardboard sheets
· Box cutter
· Hot glue gun/Glue
· Black/Grey Vinyl sheets
· Scissors
· Foam cord
· Water
· Egg
· Sponge
· Cotton Balls
· Bubble wrap

Steps:
(Before, all of these steps make sure you have the vinyl color of your choice onto the cardboard before cutting it off)
1. Firstly, gather materials for building pop bottle rocket
2. Measure the amount of the cardboard sheet needed to wrap bottle
3. Cut cardboard sheet using box cutter
4. Wrap cardboard sheet around 2L bottle and apply hot glue on edge of cardboard sheet so that

    There were not as many steps as I thought there would be involved in building the bottle itself. First I emptied out two two liters of pop. I then cut off the tops of both bottles, and threw out one of the bases. In the leftover base, I poured water, aquatic gravel, and a fake plant for the fish.     What I learned about bottle rockets is the smaller the bottles, the higher the rocket goes. The rocket has to have water on the bottom for it to fly. What I did for my rocket is I got two 2 liter bottles. I cut part of the bottom off one of the bottles and taped them together. But, you have to make sure it’s not sideways.     We started building from the capsule and parachute. First under the capsule we added decoupler and followed that with advance S.A.S, FL-T500 fuel tank, and a LV-T45 liquid fuel engine. After that we used three symmetry tool and placed radial decouplers as low as possible and placed AV-R8 winglets on it as low as possible as well. We used decouplers because we want it to detach on our way back and used winglets because it makes best landing, they are light, and they will not band or fall off. After that we added decoupler to the bottom of our rocket. Then we moved three radial decouplers one stage up and moved liquid engine one stage down. So if we detach the rocket the wings will not fall off and engine would be already activated. Next we added tri-coupler and to that we stacked three sets of fuel tanks and underneath that we put LV-T45 liquid engine. Then we used strut connecter to hold it all together. Again we attached decouplers under the liquid engine and followed that by three set of fuel tanks, LV-T45 liquid engine and used strut connecter to hold it all together. After that we placed radial decoupler to the bottom of the second to the last stage as low as possible and on that we put another radial decoupler. Then we put solid fuel booster on radial decopler as low as possible. Next we placed tri-coupler under solid fuel booster. After that we placed three sets of nine FL-T500 fuel tanks, under that we put LV-T30 liquid fuel engines. We used LV-T30 liquid fuel engine because it is more powerful and give us the boost we need to leave the atmosphere. After that we tied whole rocket together. First we tied each of the external stacks together, then we tied each stack to the next stacks, after that we tied external stacks with internal stacks. next we need to create stage after the stage five, and add radial decouplers to the new stage . we did this because external stacks use their fuel more quickly than the internal stacks.
