Hungary possesses an excellent public transport system which consists of the rail system, highways, and waterways. The rail system is owned and operated by the state, which also connects all major cities in Hungary and international destinations. Hungary has permanent navigable waterways, which includes the Danube River that flows north to south, through the center of Hungary. With these advantages, the Danube provides low-cost mode to transport passengers and domestic freight. This will mean that consumers will have easy access to our business premises and will be more willing to patronize us with the lower travelling cost.
There are two policies which have helped improve the transport system in Hungary. The Hungarian Transport Policy (HTP 2003-2015) was designed to improve the quality of life, health preservation and cutting regional disparities. It was also for transportation safety and expanding connectivity with neighboring countries to enhance the condition for efficient operation and maintenance by regulated competition. The Unified Transport Development Strategy (UTDS 2007-2020) was planned to increase mobility and ensuring equal opportunities in mobility. UTDS also plans to develop their transport infrastructure in terms of the regional accessibility of urban and suburban areas and being economic competitive. This would help Hungary to be more economically stable and hence, when exchanging the profits back to our home currency, loses would not be fatal.
There are various infrastructure development projects being carried out in Hungary currently. Out of which is the Energy and Environment Project. The project was for contribution towards the Thermal sector. One of the objectives of the project was to increase Hungary’s efficiency, reliability and flexibility in the production of electricity and heat. It was also aimed to support continued environmental improvements in power sector and assist in improving the capabilities of institutions.
