and that the person who is in charge of creating this technology should be the one who is held accountable.
In the novel Frankenstein, the author Mary Shelley writes about a scientist who creates a monster by using dead body parts and brings it to life. And although the scientist is responsible for the creation of this monster he chooses to ignore him. This causes the monster to become independent, this give the monster the opportunity to realize how lonely he was and takes his anger on Frankenstein his creator. The monster decides to kill Frankenstein's friends and family and later confronts his for leaving the monster by himself
‘’But I scarcely observed this; rage and hatred had at first deprived me of utterance, and I recovered only to overwhelm him with words expressive of furious detestation and contempt.’’ . The technology used in this novel was bring the dead back to life. And the people that were affected was the monster,Frankenstein, and Frankenstein's friends and family. First the monster was affected because it wasn't receiving the attention it needed so it led the, monster to become and murder and kill all of Frankenstein's friends and family. This of course causes Frankenstein to be full of fear and anger. In conclusion Frankenstein should have taken responsibility of the monster. If he did then his friends wouldn't have died. The reason why Frakenstein should be addressing this dilemma is because everyone should be accountable for the problems they have created especially if the problem is affecting other people.´´"Devil," I exclaimed, "do you dare approach me?
And do not you fear the fierce vengeance of my arm wreaked on your miserable head? Begone, vile insect! Or rather, stay, that I may trample you to dust! And, oh! That I could, with the extinction of your miserable existence, restore those victims whom you have so diabolically murdered!" frankenstein is ridiculing the monster that he created and blaming him for all the deaths and trouble the monster has created.Instead of blaming the monster frankenstein should of taken responsibility and apologize and somehow fix the whole situation.’’He approached; his countenance bespoke bitter anguish, combined with disdain and malignity, while its unearthly ugliness rendered it almost too horrible for human eyes. But I scarcely observed this; rage and hatred had at first deprived me of utterance, and I recovered only to overwhelm him with words expressive of furious detestation and contempt.’’ if frankenstien can sense the anger and rage he should be one the one assessing the situation. Frankenstein in this situation is a father figure to the monster; Frankenstein created the monster therefore is the father of the monster. And as the father figure he should have the responsibility of teaching the monster of what is humane and what is not, because he …show more content…

Throughout the decades earth and its people have been dealing with the problem of global warming. And in order to prevent further sun waves reaching the earth scientist are developing new technology that can reflect the sun waves back.’’Caldeira is talking about the easiest, cheapest form of geoengineering: building a sunshade in the stratosphere out of millions of tons of tiny reflective particles, such as sulfate. Planes, balloons, battleship guns pointed upward—there is no shortage of possible delivery vehicles. And there is little doubt you could cool Earth that way, because volcanoes already do it’’. With this new technology we can prevent further Sun rays to reach earth which will prevent global warming. Technology here is used to prevent a global epidemic. But there is also a downside to this technology,if the technology starts to fail midway a mass of sun waves can come at the earth all at once.’’If we put up a sunshade without restraining emissions and the sunshade later fails, the climate accident would become a train wreck: The global warming we’d been masking would come rushing at us all at once. That might be the worst unintended consequence of geoengineering, but there could be others—damage to the ozone layer, perhaps, or an increase in drought. If CO2 keeps rising, though, we may face greater emergencies. And what once seemed insane hubris just might become reality. ‘’And if that time comes the people who created this technology is responsible for this. In any case the person who should be responsible for this dilemma, whether good or bad, should be the person who created the technology of sunshades is responsible. ‘’With carefully designed particles, geoengineers might make do with a fraction of that tonnage—though because they fall out of the stratosphere, the particles would have to be delivered continually, year after year. Still, says Caldeira, the sulfate scheme would be “essentially free compared with the other costs of mitigating climate change.” In this situation the person who is responsible for this technology should be rewarded and praised. ‘’If we put up a sunshade without restraining emissions and the sunshade later fails, the climate accident would become a train wreck: The global warming we’d been masking would come rushing at us all at once. That might be the worst unintended consequence of geoengineering, but there could be others—damage to the ozone layer, perhaps, or an increase in drought. If CO2 keeps rising, though, we may face greater emergencies. And what once seemed insane hubris just might become reality. ‘’ on the other hand if this experiment goes bad extreme casualties can happen. And if these casualties do happen the person that created the sunshades should be responsible for all of the casualties that the sunshades might create
Some of the similarities that the two text show is the fact that both text have a consequence good or bad.
‘’"Abhorred monster! Fiend that thou art! The tortures of hell are too mild a vengeance for thy crimes. Wretched devil! You reproach me with your creation, come on, then, that I may extinguish the spark which I so negligently bestowed." In the text frankenstein , the doctor frankenstein had the consequence of the death of his friends and family because he didn't take the responsibility of taking care of the monster.’’With carefully designed particles, geoengineers might make do with a fraction of that tonnage—though because they fall out of the stratosphere, the particles would have to be delivered continually, year after year. Still, says Caldeira, the sulfate scheme would be “essentially free compared with the other costs of mitigating climate change.” in the text of shading the earth comes with the consequence of the creation of technology that can help the stop of global warming.
Not only are there similarities there are also differences. One difference between the two text is that shading the earth came with technology that was positive, but in frankenstein there were no positives instead everyone frankenstein loves died because frankenstein did not live up to his responsibility of the creation of the monster.
