Technology on Teenagers
Animals suffer just as people do. In 2009 animal experimentation was the cause of over 1.13 million animals, excluding small rodents, suffering in U.S. Laboratories (U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service). Animal experimentation is unethical, unnecessary and expensive; alternative methods of testing should be utilized. It is unethical to use the cruel methods of animal experimentation for our own benefit alone. The animals used in research range from birds, dogs, cats, and pigs to name a few. So many innocent creatures put up with the immense pain so that science experiments can be made and new products can be put on the shelves. Many of the animals used in the testing and experiments are blind, severely burned, poisoned, or mutilated (“Animals in Product Testing.”). Even when a product is labeled “cruelty free” or “not tested on animals” the individual ingredients that make up the product are likely to have been tested on animals at some point (Macfarlane et al., 191). Also, anesthesia is not required by law to give to small lab animals such a...

Animal testing, is also known as animal experiments in the act of using non-human animals in research, to develop projects or scientific experiments. Statistics show that each year, there are millions of animals such as cats, dogs, mice, rats, ferret, hamsters and monkeys that experience mental and physical torture due to scientific research. Although most people agree that animal testing is horrible and cruel, there are few who this is it necessary to find new medicines. During the experiments, the animals are forced to inhale or sallow large amounts of test substances. Which are often found to be poisonous and toxic. The largest concern, is that animals are being used in experiments and not humans. Meaning that the results might or might not be useful for all the humans. Million of animals are suffering from poor conditions of living, and then to…

Animal testing for scientific or commercial use is wrong and inaccurate because animals are made up differently than humans. Animal testing is procedures done on animals for research to test medicine and commercial items to see if they are harmful or effective for humans. The experiments can cause the animals to have physical and mental suffering and distress. Most of the animals are killed at the end of the experimentation but some are used again in other experiments. The most common animals used for the experiments are fish, mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, farm animals, hamsters, birds, cats, dogs, and monkeys. More than 115 million animals are used in experiments worldwide. Animals are living beings too, they should get the chance to live…

Animal testing and experimentation in laboratories is always the form of animal cruelty that touches many hearts. This refers to animals being used in scientific experiments, such as medical, pharmaceutical, and commercial testing. These tests can be very dangerous for animals to partake; many animals are tortured and even killed in these procedures. It is estimated that over 70 million animals are tortured and killed in U.S. laboratories annually. This number has decreased over years due to stricter controls, scientific advances, and higher…

Animal Experimentation plays an important role in today’s medical and pharmaceutical advances, but many question the morality of such a use of animal life. Whether you argue that testing different products and drugs on animals is necessary or not, this has become an integral part of developing products. From that Tylenol you pop to get rid of your headache, to that perfect shade of pink lip gloss, animal testing is used in order to produce the simplest household items. Today, in the United States, it is federal law that requires all pharmaceuticals, food additives, cosmetics, and garden chemicals to undergo a series of tests, including animal testing, before being available to general public. It is estimated between fifty and a hundred million vertebrate animals worldwide are being used fro animal experiments. While many believe that animal experimentation is a crucial part of research and safety, others argue the morality of this issue. Another point of view some share is a mixture of both opposing views, where one believes that animal experimentation should only be condoned in the field of medical research but not for vanity reasons.…

The products we use everyday are a luxury that we are blessed to have and be able to use everyday. They are so easy to use and the benefits are so great that people don’t really care how they are made before they hit the shelves. But not many people think about all the tests that the product had to go through to get on the store's shelves. Not many people think about the negatives of the product and all the test that are done on ANIMALS. Animals that are tested on are put through medical tests that could potentially kill them or harm them extremely. The beauty product industry and scientist should find a new way to test their products and drugs without the endangerment to animals.…

Every year millions of animals are subjected to horrible unethical experimentations in order to advance medical science. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhumane treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease and alternatives should be used instead. Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective medical practice that produces unreliable results and those laboratories should use safer alternatives that will provide more accurate results.…

Last year, over 167 million animals died due to animal research. At this rate, the number of animals that will die this year will be well over 200 million. Animals used in these testing facilities are treated in inhumane and disgusting ways. Dogs are forced to eat pesticides, monkeys have their skulls cracked, mice grow tumors larger than their own bodies, bunnies are blinded, the list of cruelties goes on and on. After having these excruciating and terrifying experiments performed on them, they are usually dumped back into a cramped…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

Animals testing is unethical because the pain and suffering that they are subjected to is not worth any possible benefits to humans. Scientists inject animals with irritating chemicals, genetically manipulate them to cause rare and painful genetic diseases, give them cancer and other diseases, and cause other injuries in the name of science. These animals are not given painkillers and are forced to endure prolonged agony before eventually dying…

Annually, more than 100.000 animals are used for test product’s security included household cleaners, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products (PETA Fact Sheet). For many years, the application of animals has been considered to be a normal strategy in three primary fields: biomedical research, education and product safety evaluation. In 2009, it was estimated that approximately, 3.6 million animals were used for testing and were killed after experiments; about 2.7 million of them were not administered with anesthesia. Animal welfare groups are pressuring world governments to take steps to reduce their reliance on animal experiments and to inflict strict regulations on animal testing (Government-Required Animal Testing: Overview).…

    Animal Testing Is Wrong

Animal experimentation is not only cruel, but expensive as well. Thankfully, there are accurate, cheaper and quicker alternatives. First, there are the In vitro tests which are used to diagnose disease or health of patients using the patient's blood sample or body tissue. Another is microdosing, where humans are given low quantities of a product to test the effects on the body, without affecting the whole body system. There are also many computerized patient-drug databases, virtual drug trials, and stem cell and genetic testing methods. The United States alone spends about $16 billion dollars every year, coming from taxpayers, for animal experimentation. Just think about how much money the US could save if it abolished animal testing as a whole. The US has been in debt and in a depression for years, yet it continues to throw money down the toilet just to torture and kill animals. Animals are NOT the only way to test…

For instance, many animals are hurt, tortured, and sometimes killed while tests are performed on them. “Animals used in experiments are commonly subjected to force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, the infliction of burns and other wounds to study the healing process, the infliction of pain to study its effects and remedies, and "killing by carbon dioxide asphyxiation, neck-breaking, decapitation, or other means" (Humane Society International, "About Animal Testing," hsi.org (accessed Oct. 15, 2013)). These are some of the many ways animals are hurt during the process of animal testing. It’s sad and cruel that people do this to animals. Overall, animal testing is an evil, harsh thing to do innocent…
