On the day of my behind the wheel driving test I had mixed emotions. I was a little bit nervous, what if I do not pass and was getting a little bit excited, thinking of all the opportunities I had if I did pass. I was nervously waiting in the car at the road test parking area for a DMV proctor to come. While my driving instructor, Hayk was chatting with other instructors in the shade. After what seemed to be the longest wait in my whole entire life was just fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes past, an orange cone was placed on the hood of my car signaling I was next.…

You have already gone through part one, part two, and now you are ready to take your drivers test to get the thing that means the most to a lot of sixteen year olds, your license! This lets you have a little bit of freedom to get out of the house from your annoying siblings and get away from chores and homework for a little while.…
after you have taken all the classes and drove all 50 hours you are now permited to get your restricted licences. A restriced licence is just like a normal licence but you are not allowed to drive past 10:00pm and you cant drive with more then one friend. After you turn 17 you can get your full licence and you can drive with as many friends as long as it is safe. this may seem like a long prosess just to be able to drive but it is important because without it you are a danger to the people around you and you can injur…
I spent election day in a car driving to get my mom out of a meeting.…
Driving to the DMV was less stressful. I occupied myself by reviewing the notes that I took previously. Once we arrived, I took my number and waited. I reviewed the information over and over again in my mind. I knew that any nervousness or anxiousness would make my mind go blank, so I tried to breathe and stay calm. Finally, my number was called. I was ready for my second try.…
This was a fantastic day. The night before was thinking, “Wow, it’s actually happening. Tomorrow”. Then I woke up the next morning. On a friday! How much better could that have been. There was a football game later, classes went super quick, there was an assembly I was excited for as well. So the classes were short because of the assembly. I ended up getting picked up early. Right after 6th period. When i was headed to the gym. I got called down to the office. My mom got me and then we went straight to the DOL. It took a few minutes, I’d say around 30 minutes because they needed my waver from my drive instructor in drivers ed in to be able to give me my permit. I wasn’t able to get a picture on my permit because my mom didn’t get my actual birth certificate. But then the lady said to get behind the desk and sign everything. Then she printed it out and she handed it to me and we walked out with it and my mom handed me the keys. I got in the car and she did the mom thing and took a bunch of pictures. But in that moment I felt that feeling of growing up. I felt so trusted and I thought about all these huge privileges I had just earned.…
There were many preparations I had to accomplish to get my license. I first had to go to the DMV to take my written exam so I can get a permit first. After I passed the test, I had to wait 2 weeks to get my permit in the mail so I could drive with some with a license.I now had to schedule an appointment to take the 5 hour course which is required to get a license. After I completed the 5 hour course, I scheduled an appointment with the DMV to take my road test. The day to my appointment was coming up so my sister had me drive her car to practice with it. But I wasn't just driving any automatic car, I was driving a stick shift car with 6 gears. I had to drive the car around town so I could get comfortable with it until the day of my road test. As the days kept on coming and getting closer to my road test, the more nervous and scared I was.…
I remember the first time I got my license, I wanted everyone to see me and to see what I could do in the parking lot with my new truck. The first day I drove after I got my license I thought I knew everything there was about a vehicle and I could handle anything. Well I was wrong, there was a lot of things that I needed to learn and realize how dangerous it actually is driving. When I got out of school just like any teenager now a days was on there telephone texting and calling there parents or friends to hang out. They were getting behind the wheel of the car and driving off to go get something to eat and eating behind the wheel driving to fast trying to impress everyone. Driving is a privilege that should be taken serious and not have any distractions. There are some bad habits while driving that the every common person has from driving to fast, eating, and most worst habit using a cellphone.…

When I get my license I will be driving everywhere I will be driving all around the town of Vernon. I will drive my sister everywhere to dance class, to school. When I get my license my mom will make me drive to the food market. I see myself as a cautious driver but a very impatient driver. My attitude toward driving is freedom and I feel it’s more convenient. Having your license is Being able to give other people a lift , Being able to* transport things which would be too much to carry , Being able to get to somewhere quickly (especially in an emergency) ,Being able to get somewhere that public transport doesn't cover ,Keeping dry if it's raining, cool if it's hot, warm if it's cold ,In some cases travel by car is cheaper than public transport. The one of the merits of having it is that you can be free completely from the dependence on your parents so you can go everywhere, and enjoy your private life more than ever. In addition, you can use the driver license as an important document* to prove your identification easily so you do not need to worry about proving yourself anymore when you submit something. Having to rely on your parents to drive you places is a hassle because you have to work around your parents schedule but when you can drive your self-places its easier. I don’t consider myself accident prone because I am very careful person. Temptation I think I will have when I get my license is going to be wanting to go places but not having enough gas money. If I am ever stuck behind a car that is going* awfully slow and I am late for work, I would call my boss and tell him I am stuck in traffic so I will be a little late. If one of my friends refuses to put there seatbelt on I will refuse to drive them anywhere, unless they agree to buckle up. To keep myself calm from panicking if my car ever fails to work I would just breath and get to the side of the road as fast as I can and just turn off my car or call triple A, Or call my…
When it was time for me to get my license, I did not have a car. I had practiced driving my sister’s car because it was much smaller than my mom’s SUV or my dad’s truck. It was a silver, four-door 2000 Toyota Camry. I drove that Toyota when I took my test to get my driver’s license. I was very nervous because most of my family and friends did not think I would pass the test. I passed my test the first time. I had…
After we ate a few donuts and got everything as in order as they could be, the shuttle arrived. That is when I got nervous to get on an airplane. I went to my two dogs, Bella an English Bulldog and Casper my ten year old Pit Bull and gave them kisses bye. We all went outside with our luggage and loaded up the shuttle van. Our driver's name was Chris and he was very friendly and funny. He told us about his son in the marines and my papa, a marine himself, told him all about when he was in active duty. My papa served in the Vietnam war in 1969 and 1970. They chatted the whole ride to the airport. I was silent. I was nervous…
