TEEN PREGNANCY
This Essay hopefully will open all of our eyes to Teen Pregnancy. It is a serious problem that we need to be paying more attention to. When I was 13 I had my first child, by 14 I had my second and by 15 I had twins. Being so young I did not want to go on Welfare, so when I was 15 I got my first job. I worked for this man who was an Electrician. I made about 30 dollars a day and did not help much but help. The struggle of having children at such a young age is very hard. Financially, is one of the hardest things a person has to worry about. But there are other things you have to worry about, like does your child have enough food do you have enough food for 4 children wishing you only had one or no children to worry about.
I watch these teen mom t.v. shows and I’m amazed at how they can make it look so easy to raise a child. When I was raising my children I did’nt have the help of my, Mother, nor Father. And school, I wish I have had time for school back then. And when your 13,14, or 15 taking your children to the doctors for the first time was very scary. Because when you’re so young and your child gets sick you’re not sure if it was something you did wrong or just a common cold. And you hear people say that because I was so young that it would be so easy for DHS to take my children.
I have friends who had kids around the time I did, and I see those women now and they either don’t have their kids or they are on drugs of some kind or somebody’s prostitute. I have come to realize that having children at such a young age, does not just effect your financial situation but your mental stability. I was one of the few of my friends that did not go down that path, I chose to fight for my children and myself.
I have lost my children to DHS and fought to get them back. I was 15 and a half when they took my children from me, I fought for 2 years to get them back, and I got them back. Was
