Teenagers Vs. Toddlers
Teenagers Vs. Toddlers Yelling, complaining, and inattentiveness are all similar traits shared by teenagers and toddlers. A great deal of teenagers and toddlers don’t take many things into consideration unless it benefits them in any way, whether that may be a physical reward or fun. Although teens and toddlers are deemed to be on each opposite side of the spectrum, they are both alike in many ways.
Teenagers generally grow up with one or both of their parents. They live their lives by having everything done for them. They’re used to their parents driving them around, making dinner, doing their laundry, etc. Teens nowadays are vastly different from those back in the 70’s. Teens in the 70’s were expected to do everything for themselves because their dad was always at work while their mom was at home cleaning the house. In this generation, teens have more freedom and are willing to sacrifice everything for the extremes in life.

They are incapable of doing many things on their own. A toddler’s behavior insists that they try and do things on their own and only accept help as a last resort. Likewise, they are used to being fed, bathed, and having everything handed to them on a platter. “Though you may worry that you're raising a tyrant, take heart – at this age, it's unlikely that your child is throwing a fit to be manipulative. More likely, she's having a meltdown in response to frustration.” (BabyCenter, 1).
