Task One: Ten Commandments and Beatitudes
Assessment Notification
PART A: Pamphlet
You are to create a pamphlet, as a guide to young people of your age for living a Christian life today, about the Ten Commandments OR the Beatitudes. Use A4 size paper: no folds, 2 folds or 3 folds permitted.
Your pamphlet should include:
1. an introduction about the Ten Commandments OR Beatitudes
2. a title and short caption that explains the relevance of each the Ten Commandments OR
Beatitudes for today.
3. Select 3 of the 10 Commandments OR Beatitudes and explain how they can be applied to a teenager’s life today
PART B: Interview
Think of a person in your own life who lives their life by following at least one Commandment
OR Beatitude through their example. If …show more content…
you wrote about the Beatitudes in Part A, then select at least one of the Ten Commandments OR if you wrote about the Ten Commandments in Part A, then select at least one of the Beatitudes.
1. Interview this person about their values and beliefs (that are linked to the Commandments
OR Beatitudes), which help them to live their lives.
In the interview:
Ask three open ended questions. (e.g. What has inspired you to take on volunteer work helping the homeless people in the Wollongong area by working in the soup kitchens?)
Write your questions and their answers.
2. Analyse the answers. How do their answers relate to your understanding of the Ten
Commandments OR the Beatitudes?
PART C: Bibliography
Produce a bibliography at the end of the task with references to at least three sources of information that you have used to complete the task.
You MUST follow the College diary guidelines.
Use appropriate images. Do not use images that are offensive or inappropriate.
Submit the completed task to your Religion teacher in class by the due date or hand in to Student
Office on the due date.
Remember copying and pasting information from other sources is plagiarism and is seen as cheating. Please ensure your work is original and your own.
Use this notification as a checklist and submit with your Task with your name and teacher’s name

Assessment Requirements
Due Date: Before 1.30pm on Friday March 6, 2015
Submission method:
Submit your task to your Religion teacher in class by the due date
OR place it in the marked box in Student Office.
Task MUST be on paper. Emailed tasks will not be accepted.
Value: 35 marks
Your teacher will give you two class lessons to work on this task, however, there is an expectation that your research and production will be done out of class using your laptop, the library computer resources, or a computer at home.
Technical difficulties will not be an acceptable excuse for late submission.
