"Did you see the ending of that Duke game!" The president, Bill Clinton, was astonished by the miraculous ending of the Kentucky vs. Duke game. Just about anybody you could talk to would know about the game and also be astonished by it. This can show the effect a game can produce on a person and a school. During college sports games, a school and fans can be affected in a jubilant or a depressing way. For example, a school could begin to build a program with many wins to come, or they could go straight down. Also, a fan could be feeling so happy as if he is "on cloud nine," or he could feel like he has been killed as he takes pride in his team. Although this impact can be a bad circumstance, several delightful impacts can turn into traits. Three of these traits are persistence, self-esteem, and leadership. All three of these traits take place in each of three games that are arguably the greatest college sports games of all time. College sports games clearly can affect a human being and change his feeling whether it is bad or good.…

“Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.” – Charles Swindoll. My high school years were the best. My freshman year I did very well in school. Bullying is huge problem in today’s society. The aggression that adolescents have these days is a huge social problem. Many schools and communities are coming together to establish programs to stop the growing problem. It can also be defined as unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involve a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose. The topic of bullying in the 1980s wasn’t being speaking upon like it started to be in 2000. The article states that there were only two hundred articles on bullying. Between 2000 and 2007 however, there was over six hundred articles. Bullying may be the most prevalent form of violence in the schools and the form that is likely to affect the greatest number of students. Intervention is most effective when there is an emphasis on the development of skills to replace aggressive behaviors with more appropriate ones or to replace avoidance /withdrawn behaviors with more assertive ones. The use of group social skills training is the intervention of choice." (Batsche, Knoff, 1994; Goldstein, 1988). Stress is the leading cause of bullying. I served as a National Representative for The Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland (CEOGC), which is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the low-income people of Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. I was sent to various states to gather resources to share to help in advancement of local schools. During my involvement with CEOGC, I met a lady who was widowed with a son - her husband died of cancer. Her son was involved with Hillcrest Nation Native Sons, which is an organization of father and son group activities. For the past four years, I try to stand in place for his dad and sponsor him so that he can still attend the activities he loves; such as the weekend camping trips. I volunteer Fridays at Imagine School Bella Academy and Shoreview Elementary as a classroom aide where I work with disruptive kids. My goal is to be in a position in which I can help others at a higher level and create opportunities from my degree, experience, and success.…

To efficiently execute a skill I have to think about factors that not only better my performance but factors that could have affected my overall game aswell. A Performance improvement programme is the concept of measuring the output of a particular process or procedure, then modifying the process or procedure to increase the output, increase efficiency, or increase the effectiveness of the process or procedure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Performance_improvement. Having tennis as our performance improvement programme we had to adapt to the sport and have direct goals in order to achieve our desired outcome. The most effective method for training was creating an executive programme for 4 different shots and the combination of each step in order to better our use of correct sequence timing and techniques. These steps play as sub routines also known as (fixed parts) which allow us to evaluate on what we were doing right and what we were doing wrong throughout each 4 phases “the forehand, backhand, smash and the lob” (all components of tennis) .Defining our first tennis lesson gave us a direct understanding at what phase of learning and ability we were at through each step. Reffering to (log 1) “Because I am a competent tennis player I was capable and already had the knowledge of tennis so I could feel through our first lesson that i am already at the associative stage of learning”. My movements were more reliable, fluid and efficient with my tennis strokes. Knowing this I had to set realistic goals that were appropriate to my level of performance. The law of diminishing returns states that “as a skill improves the rate of performance slows”. Therefore Having realistic or S.M.A.R.T.A.C.E (specific, measureable, adjustable, realistc, time based, accoutable, controlable, evaluateable) set goals was very effective to my performance improvement programme. it meant that I was not becoming confused with what it was I wanted to achieve. Each lesson was proactive in…
