Tension And Foreshadowing In The Monkey's Paw
There are many different stories around the world, and this story is worthy of being remembered. The story, “The Monkey's Paw,” is about a man named Mr.White, who takes a warning for granted, and does not think before he makes decisions. The author of this story, W.W. Jacobs, uses tension and foreshadowing to bring the reader closer to the climax, which is the part of the story where the conflict resolves. Tension, which means the suspense produced by a conflict on a problem that has not yet been solved, could be found on every corner in this story. Hints or suggestions that tell you what is going to happen in a story. The author of this essay enjoys finishing essays and leaving things with full detail. This could be an example of foreshadowing.

    The second most suspenseful story I believe is The Monkey’s Paw. I believe this suspense story deserves the second place title because this story, much like The Tell-Tale Heart, paired fear and horror with the suspense. In The Monkey’s Paw, the author uses the fear of being buried alive, which I think is another interesting way to create dread in your reader, this helps the suspense flow a little smoother, because now your reader is worried and just has to know what happens to the character.
