Chicken broiler and egg production are the most progressive animal enterprise in the Philippines today. The poultry industry in fact began as the backyard enterprise but has shifted to the formation of very large contract farming operations. Majority of the present supply of chicken meat comes from broilers. Broilers are chickens that grow fast and convert feeds into meat more efficiently. Poultry are kept in most areas of the world and provide an acceptable form of animal protein to most people throughout the world. Intensively kept poultry is seen as a way rapidly increasing animal protein supplies for rapidly increasing urban population, are relatively low priced, reproduce rapidly, and have a high rate of productivity.
In the Philippines, one of the problems faced by poultry raisers is the needs of the animals they are taking care off. One of the most rapidly increasing products out in the market is Feeds – which is the common food for animals especially in livestock and poultry. One of these is the increase of some feed ingredients which is usually imported from other countries due to lack of funds for planting and also its adaption to our own climate.
Grain legumes are important source of dietary proteins and oils. They form one of the main protein supplies of people and animals. One of grain legumes which were believed as high source protein content is the winged bean (Psophocarpustetragonolobus), it is a crop that commonly grown in tropical countries like Philippines.
The researcher will be conducted this study about the use of winged bean leaf meal as a feed additive. Like soybean, the winged bean has been known to be high in protein and oil content. In fact, the winged bean leaves are good source of protein and vitamin A which has influence the eyes and skin development and vitamins C which improves the resistant of broilers to infections.
Since winged bean is grown in the hot and humid climate like

For the first issue, regarding the rise of chicken feed price, it is recommended for EPM to plant fast growing trees such as maize tree, trichanthera gigantea tree (fodder tree), or mulberry tree. These three trees have been proved by many researches and farmers all over the Asian countries as the alternative or substitute of commercial chicken feed. By consuming half or thirty percent (30%) of the substitute chicken feeds, this may reduce the existing cost of production. Moreover, it is cheap, fast and easy to plant these trees. Same goes to trichanthera gigantea tree, the leaves and plants not only can be feed to chicken but many other animals such as, cows, goats, ducks, pigs, horses and many more. Thus, EPM can sell their leaves to other farmers and this can help them increase their income. Mulberry tree proves to have more uses. By fully utilize the tree, EPM can generates income in short…
