Globalization: Demise of the Nation-State?
Abstract
Globalization has brought a lot of advantages and disadvantages to us. But the most important point is that people all over the world should try to balance the advantages and the disadvantages of globalization because we are the ones who stay here to make the world a better place. However, the sovereignty of a nation is being frequently challenged by the increasing role of the globalization but it is also true that no nation is willing to bypass it. Each and every country is supposed to face the impact of globalization in coming days, and must be able to convert every challenge towards national sovereignty into opportunities. National sovereignty cannot be compromised but it will be wrong if we conclude that globalization is always responsible for it.
Globalization
The twenty-first century is an age of unprecedented globalization. Globalization is the new catchphrase that has come to dominate the world since the nineties of the last century with the end of the cold war and the divide of the former Soviet Union. Globalization is the tendency of investment funds and businesses to move beyond domestic and national markets to other markets around the globe, thereby increasing the interconnectedness of different markets. Globalization has had the effect of markedly increasing not only international trade, but also cultural exchange.
