Terry Teacher is scared of his student Lenny Loner. He was warned by a former teacher of Lenny Loners behavior, of how he kept to himself, acted strangely, mumbled to himself, and argued. Lenny was asked to write a short story, and he wrote a story about an unpopular student who went on the Internet, got information about how to make a bomb, and blew up the school building . Terry was concerned and and spoke to Lenny briefly. Lenny explained that it was just a creative writing assignment, and he had free speech rights, and to stop picking on him. Weeks later, Lenny was injured in the basement trying to build a pipe bomb. Terry related the events to the police in the police report. Lenny's parents read the report and a lawsuit was soon to follow against Terry and the Board of Education

He noticed Lenny was a loner and occasional acted strangely. Terry observed Lenny talking to himself and getting very argumental. Terry should have reported Lenny when he wrote the short story. When Lenny wrote a story about an unpopular student who went on the Internet, got information about how to make a bomb, and blew up the building one night, even though no one was injured should of been reported to authorities immediately.
