What is/are the principal activity/activities of this business?
The Group’s principle activity is related to retailing and linked activities, in areas such as: UK, China, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Ireland, India, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Slovakia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and the US. Moreover, Tesco also deals with retail banking and insurance services.

Comment on the outcome of the auditor’s report for Tesco Plc. Briefly discuss the importance the auditor’s report with respect to financial information.
The main objective of the auditor’s report is to provide information to the Members of the Group. The report represents TESCO PLC activity in accordance with the EU’s law and gives a fair view of the company during the last two years.
