Good evening everyone, I am very pleased to see so many of you tonight.
My name is Sir Ted Mosby and I am the PR representative of Tesco.
Tesco is as some of you might now is a very widely spread supermarket chain. It is in fact one of the largest Grocery chains globally, if seen from the terms of revenues and profit.
I am here tonight to talk to you about the troubles that Tesco has been facing the past 2 years, and about the effort the Company has put into solving them. I will then tell you about the changing consumer behavior. And last but not least I will answer any questions you might have.
First a little about Tesco’s background; Tesco is a supermarket chain located in all continents on earth, it was founded back in 1919 by Jack Cohen. Throughout time it has not only expanded globally, but also in the product variety. In the very beginning Tesco was an only food and beverage store, but after a short time the variety of products drastically increased. For the products it meant, that there were added electronics, clothes, health care products ass well as home improvement and financial services. As a matter of fact, Tesco is so big, that 1 in 7 pounds spent in the UK goes to Tesco.

During his time Tesco was even said to be “too successful”.
Today that’s only a memory. Under the watch of the new CEO Phillip Clarke a lot has changed. Shares have fallen, market value has been cut, the CEO has been criticized for too big price drops, and the connection with the costumers has been weakened, the fresh and easy chain (which has failed) and last but not least the sales and profit have
