1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to provide a framework for the adoption and implementation of asset management for Rand Water’s physical asset portfolio.
2. SCOPE
This framework applies to physical assets associated with production infrastructure under the jurisdiction of Rand Water. Assets consist of buildings and property, pipelines, civil structures, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment water treatment process plants, and automation equipment. It excludes human assets, financial assets, information assets, intangible assets, and movable equipment.

1. PURPOSE
