Overall as far as large groups that have wanted to make changes to the Texas constitution they overall agree on the following:
1. More legislative sessions than the ones that happened every two years.
2. A more simplistic judicial system.
3. Reduction in elected officials in the executive branch.
4. More power to county governments.
5. Making it easier to change laws without amending the Constitution. (CTC Texas Politics pg. 57)
I myself do not believe that the Texas constitution should be amended to be more like the U.S. Constitution because I feel a lot of people are so afraid of changing the original that it has made it hard to interpret for the modern day. The U.S. Constitution is an awesome document and has provided great limits on Government power. I has given us freedom of religion, speech, and the right to bear arms.
