Texting Is Better Than Calling

Calling or Texting? Technology is advancing every single day. Many people own cell phones. But, along with modern technology, some people prefer older ways, such as calling. Others would rather rely on texting. What are the extreme difference set between these ways?
Why is calling superior to texting? Today's verbal communication skills have plummeted with the assist of technology. Normal everyday conversations are rather dull, and some people are far from capable of having a good conversation with people every day. In some cases, people are unsure of what you mean within a text. Texting is expressionless. Meaning, you might text another saying one thing, while they interpret it, thinking it means something completely different. Calling also
shows another person that you went out of your way to clear something up, plan an event, or just catch up. Texting doesn't always offer the same benefits within interactions between people. Because of the way texting and technology has swallowed our day-to-day lives, people tend to feel genuinely pleased when you call them.
When talking on the phone, you hear the person you're conversating with.
You are able to hear their voice, their tone, and their expression. A call shows respect and the fact that you are giving that person your full attention. While you are shooting a text, you could be doing numerous other things at the same time. It isn't personal, or connected.
But, how is texting better than calling? Most people live very busy lives. Within one day you may have work or school, appointments, sports, shopping, and family matters to attend to. Sitting down and chatting via cell phone isn't always handy. While it is less connected, you can send a friend a text within seconds. But time isn't the only reason texting is favored by many.
If you're in danger, calling 9-1-1, or just a family member or friend is risky. Not only can someone track your call easier than a text, they may hear you attempting to cry for help. If you send a text, you may get yourself closer to safety. Along the same lines, people like to talk about personal situations, or in general, things you would rather not speak about around hundreds of people in a public area. If you text, you can share the same thoughts, without anybody around you knowing those exact
thoughts.
Texting can be considered superior to calling for other reasons such as convivence, organization, and to be a beneficial resource to shy individuals. Leading back to the busy lifestyle of most people, not everyone has time to relax and chat with others for hours on end. When your schedule won't budge, habits sometimes do! Organization is another main reason texting is much more convenient. If a group of friends wants to organize a party, or a dinner, texting within a group can be very simple. Imagine calling over twenty people just to plan a little party! Texting makes these little things that much more simple. On a much different note, some individuals are very shy. For people like these, it is hard to have a conversation, or carry out day-to-day talks on the phone. With texting they are able to have honest conversations, without being stressed with whether or not they embarrassed themselves. Texting offers a wide variety of simplicities to our everyday lives!
So, texting or calling? With calling, we get back to actual conversations, real connections, and actual expressions. Where with texting, we are able to save time, make plans, and organize ourselves.
