Crystal Meth Can Destroy Families
Introduction
The abuse of Crystal Meth is a serious problem that it doesn’t only affect the person abusing the drug but it can affect the family. Some people really don’t know the big problem of Crystal Meth. Some people choose to use Crystal Meth for so many reasons. In order for people to better understand the use of Crystal Meth this paper is going to give you a description of what is Crystal Meth and the effects the drug has, the signs and statistics, how can meth affect the body, and how to overcome meth addiction. But first I’ll begin by sharing a real life story of a family that was affected by crystal meth. Leonardo was a contractor for over than 18 years. He loved to work in the fields such as: the cherry, grapes, walnut, pear, onion, and tomato season as well as apple season. He also traveled to other states to realize the same jobs he did in California. Leonardo was and is a hardworking man, dedicated to his family and helps other people without doubt. He was married and had two girls and two boys. He is a loving and understanding father and husband. But he had a lot of problems and made a lot wrong choices that he never thought would affect him and his family. He had a cheating and alcohol problem. Those problems escalated to crystal meth use for more than 17 years. Leonardo’s drug use at first wasn’t bad but in the long run it became a big problem not only for him but for family and friends. The problem was so big that Leonardo’s wife divorced him. Little by little he started to lose friends, family, and work. He felt alone and depressed and he even abused crystal meth even more that got to the point that his life was destroyed. He quit working because he was abusing crystal meth so much that he didn’t had the energy and excitement to keep working. To maintain his drug habit he sold drugs, and asks family or friends for money to be able to buy his drug. Everything
