William James once said: “The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery of human beings, by changing their inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives”. However, the agricultural revolution formed a big milestone in people’s lives. In fact, people in that time, were not aware how much their attitude and habits were changed for the basic things in their lives. Actually , the main question is what were the effects of the agricultural revolution? As the main effects, we can mention the increased population, established government in the cities and different types of diseases.
During the agricultural revolution the population increased. This happened as a result of many causes such as more food, improved farming methods, and better farm machines (tools). Most of the farmers started to work on their lands, producing just enough food for themselves. With improved farming techniques (tools and machines), farmers started to produce more food than they needed. That resulted with increasing the population. People (farmers) thought in this way, only because they had extra food. As I mentioned before, this allowed more mouths to be fed and led to a population explosion. This means that although the population increased people still have enough food. A good example for this situation, is the village Catal Huyuk where the numbers of people rapidly increased. It reached even 6000 people. We can clearly see that this was an effect of farmers who started producing more food.
As the population increased, people needed to make some order and rules that would be respected. People thought that the best idea was to develop a city, but they also needed a person or a group of people that would steadily control the city. Most of the people decided to build a government and to elect a leader who would be capable of regulating the city. First, there were only
