The American Civil War Between 1861 And 1865
The American civil war which happened between 1861 and 1865 is one of the central events in America’s historical consciousness. The civil war which started because of the difference between the free and slave states over the power of the national government to prohibit slavery in the territories that had not yet become states had both social and economic impacts on world’s history. One of the impacts is the loss of countless innocent lives which included friends, daughter, sons, and providers. Another impact of the war is ending slavery. After the civil war, slaves became free with rights, making slavery illegal in the United States of America.
