A dream is essentail to a person’s life because it allows yourself to trust and believe into an idea which can challanged you for great things. “His parents were shiftless and unsuccessful farm people- his imagination had never really accepted them as his parents at all (Fitzgerald 98).” James Gatz was facing the relatives that he want to be better than his parents therefore, he needed to find away to improve his life. Some people believe that the American dream represent the possibilty of living superior than one’s parents did, and a desire among parents for their children to lead happy lives. Even though if you do reach your dream you could lose it all. For example, Evelyn Adams won the lottery twice but since Adams gambled it all way at Atlantic City instead of using it wisely she lost the winnings (Woodruff 2). When Evelyn Adams gained all the money she lost the motivation to get through the choices and because she did not go for her dream she lost appreciation for the currency. The main focus is to always fight for your dream and believe in yourself to achieve great memorys and

The American dream is the supreme aspect due to the dream providing a purpose and focus on life and builds self-motivation allows you to focus on the important purpose of the dream to get through life. Someone which manages to achieve his or her verison of the American dream may be said to be “living the dream,” and everyone has a unique interoretation of what the American dream could be. By living up to your dream it can open up your future to great carrers and achievements.
