from and early age and the essential father figure that guided Chris Kyle into the master marksmen he became as his dad teaches him crucial life lessons while sharing that close bond that hunting brings between a father and son. this scene is where we see the first glimpse of one of the more powerful themes of the movie, Fatherhood eastwood sets the movie scene to depict this theme perfectly showing the seriousness that every good father should have as we see a young chris kyle after he shoots his first deer running over to the body he carelessly tosses his rifle to the ground his father understanding his excitement is still firm in his voice as he abruptly gets Kyle's attention making sure that he knew to never leave his weapon in the dirt leaving a strong impression on his boy of wisdom that should always be integrated in fatherhood.
Eastwood has done it again his directing of American Sniper has proven once again how gifted of a director he is by taking the great challenge of bringing this american hero back to life on the screen , eastwood has always had a way with war films but his ability to make this particular film be less of a war film and focus more on the life and testament that chris kyle made for himself not only overseas but in his home and family too.
Eastwoods time as such a well rounded director was able to use his finely honed casting skills to make such great and essential characters to come to life , from main character actors who can adapt to such a deep role we have Bradley Cooper ( portraying Navy Seal Chris Kyle) or the actresses playing the roles that portray the more sensitive sides of the film such as Sienna Miller as (Taya Kyle) or even supporting actors like Jake McDorman as (Navy Seal Biggles)who play a smaller but still essential role in the film.
Even to the point where Eastwood, cast a real Navy Seal (Kevin Lacz) to play the role of himself having actually served overseas with Chris Kyle just to make the film as authentic as possible. Eastwood having proven his casting choices striving for a great amounts of detail to be put into charecter work Eastwood's American Sniper has also ricived quite afew awards rangeing from Best Picture or even Best Actor, Bradley Cooper
To movie of the year from AFI. In sumation the film with all its many awards is quite and impressive amount and , here are all of them for :
American Sniper:

Denver Film Critics Society Awards for Best Actor 2014 · Bradley Cooper
Denver Film Critics Society Awards for Best Picture 2014
Iowa Film Critics Award for Best Movie Yet to Open in Iowa 2014
These awards are given for a reason resons like the acting or even the filming alone is enough for the acedmy to notice but one thing youll find about American Sniper is its the one film were there characters stay with the audience now i dont mean that actually but the actors portrayal of the actual people who knew the real american sniper is very in depth .and seeing Bradley Cooper in such a role was a such a new expirience , going from a cleancut hollywood actor to a ruffneck Texan navy seal .
His acting metod was in uncharted terrain and nothing could have been more of a test, as we see Kyle (Cooper) go out to a rodeo bustin broncos in the cool texas night , to finding his girlfriend cheatin on him with some country hick, finding new love while he explores the realationship with his soon to be wife, or like doing jackhammers in 56 degree water with other navy seal candidates ,to being overseas taking down terrorists in alqueda oneshot at a time because he will do anything to serve his country.Bradley Cooper even learned how to basiclly sight and align his scope on target and continioudly hit a 5 inch target at 600 yards , also cooper had to gain a massive amount of wait and muscle to fit the physical element the role requied going from 185 to whopping 225 eating over 6000 calories a day just to try to mimic Kyles imposing bear like figure.
Cooper then only had one more great challange to finish . the texas Twang , with coaching from one of his top instructers cooper was indeed a convincing texan . This movie with such dedicated actors was phenominal and a real testimant to kyles life and the family he leaves behind . Kyle was always to have been said to have had something close to a saviour complex were he dousnt feel anything for the men he killed in fact he wished he could have killed more for kyle what haunted his mind were the men he couldnt save men that died in his unit right in frount of him or even marines that died clearing the houses he was assighned
to protect while on overwatch. For him he wouldve shot the enemy on sight but unfortunatly in the famous words of Marc Lee “you can shoot what you cant see”. Klye (Cooper)is seen numourus times throughout the movie doing nothing but pushing away that tearing effect that war can have on the human psyche , for instance while kyle(Cooper) is with his bwife taya at the hospital the doctor finishes the ultrasound of kyles unborn son when the doctor askes if he would put on the blood pressure cuff as
