The Aspects Of Spys In The Witcher By Mr. Hawthorne
Hermen Higgins was playing in his room with his best friend, Avery Owens, when the two boys decided to play spies. The boys slowly and quietly crept down the staircase and peeked around the wall where they heard Hermen's parents, Herman and Hermione Higgins.
"Where is he going to go?" Hermen heard his mother whisper.
"I haven't thought that far ahead. Any suggestions as to where to send him? An orphanage perhaps?" Mr. Higgins said sarcastically, but Hermen was only seven years old and did not understand sarcasm yet.
Both boys whipped their heads around the wall and pressed their backs against the wall, sheer panic in their eyes. Avery pointed at the stairs and Hermen nodded once. The boys quietly snuck back upstairs and into Hermens room.

Why would we leave you at an orphanage?"
"I don't know, I just heard you say it. You were joking?"
“Of course I was joking, son. We were so worried about you,” Herman told his little boy. Mr. and Mrs. Higgins took their son home and the next day, left him at the Owens home. They then went to the Hermon Animal Shelter and picked out a Bull Terrier and named him Hermin. They took the newest member of their family to the Owens and picked up Hermen.
“This is what we were talking about when I made that joke, Hermen.”
“A dog! Wow!” Hermen said, amazed.
“What’s his name?” Avery asked.
“His name is Hermin.” Hermione answered.
The Higgins said goodbye to the Owens and went home. Hermen and Hermin played for hours and became best friends.

Some time after saving Hermin from the animal shelter, Herman started having stomach problems.
“Honey, you should go see a doctor. This has been bugging you for weeks,” Hermione told her husband.

The book going over in this essay is called Witches! by Rosalyn Schanzer, and is a book about the events that have taken place in the town of Salem. This is a very weird and mysterious subject because so many people died in a very strange and concerning manner. First of which is “attention” this could be a factor in this crisis because some people could have accused people just to get attention from the people around them and be in the center of activity. Second is people just doing it for fun or “sport” if they're bored they could enjoy people being killed or harassed in jail. The last and most probably biggest one, is revenge, people could have hated another and wanted them dead and realizing this was a very efficient and good way to do it or at least get them arrested. The accusations in the Salem Witch Trials were motivated by attention, sport, and revenge.…

Isabelle could have sworn that the man was drooling over her. She chuckled to herself, knowing that she had picked the perfect weakling to complete her plan. All of the sudden she stopped walking, for she felt something wet rolling down her leg. Isabelle slowly turned around to face whoever had the nerve to do this to her. Just as Isabelle had suspected, an innocent puppy had come over and licked her leg. Isabelle looked down at it, stared, and then screamed! “Whos is this?” Isabelle was stewing! Her hands were shaking all the way down to the tips of her black, matte, flawless fingernails. She bent down picked up the puppy, and yelled once more. “Whoever this beast belongs to please claim it now, or youĺl never see it again!” By now, Isabelle knew that she had everyone's attention, yet still, nobody said a word. For the last time, Isabelle shouted to the crowd as they stared at her in horror. “Fine then, say goodbye to the mangy mutt!” Everybody thought that Isabelle was going to kill the puppy, but to their surprise, she simply walked away with it. Nobody knew what she planned to do with it, but nobody had the nerve say anything. For the first time in a century, the streets of New York were completely silent, that was, until the owner of the puppy walked into the streets saying “Hey, has anyone seen my…

As World War I raged about Europe, Great Britain took every measure available to ensure the war didn't spread into their own backyard. Their army was doing fine fighting elsewhere in France and Germany, but as William I proved in 1066, when you invade England, it's not the English that win. Britons lived in constant fear of a takeover by the German "huns," and this fear inspired Graham Greene to comment on morality in man in his short story, "I Spy." Greene explains, through the conflict that his protagonists suffer, that sometimes society's morals are artificially removed, for example in a time of war in which the object is to kill as many people as possible that aren't on your side. In these situations, people have to make their own decisions about morality and right and wrong, and this absolutely terrifies them. This is shown in "I Spy" through the characters, imagery, and setting in the story.…
