The Aztecs, Mayan, And Incan Civilizations
The Aztecs, Mayan, and Incan civilizations were early, important American civilizations. The Aztec and Maya civilizations were located in Mesoamerica. The Inca were located in South America in modern day Chile. The three civilizations all had different advancements and number of advancements. Plus, all of the civilizations needed different advancements due to location and time of existence. The Aztecs were the least advanced. The Inca were the second most advanced. The Maya were the most advanced with writing, architecture, and math. The Maya were the most advanced. The Maya developed a writing system during the mid-first millennium B.C.E. They had a writing system very early against other civilization at the time. They wrote on deerskin or …show more content…
The Aztecs used stone and copper tool to farm and mine. They also used bones and reed to make drills for themselves. Their weapons were advanced also. The Aztecs made atlatl which makes it easier to throw a spear. Macuahuitl was also a weapon used by the Aztecs. A macuahuitl is a wooden spear containing sharp pieces of glass. The Aztecs technology was advanced. The Aztecs had aqueducts. The Aztecs also were familiar with the wheel. Although, they only used the wheel on toys because they did not have horses or mules. They also created dugout canoes to transport goods and people through waterways faster. Their number system was also advanced. The Aztecs used a base twenty system using dots and shapes. One dot represents the number one while other symbols represented other number in the system. The Aztecs were also ahead in medicine. The Aztecs had medicines in ointments, drinks, and salves. The Aztecs had cures for many medicines. The Aztecs were the least advanced.
The three civilization were similar in the aspects of roads. The Inca and Maya all had a long series roads that were very impressive. All three civilizations, had a series of aqueducts to move water also. The Aztecs and Mayans both had a number system base on the number twenty.
The Maya were the most advanced with writing, architecture, and math. All three civilizations had advancements but the Maya were the most advanced. For example, the Aztecs were the least advanced
